Have a good day
Good morning! The walk in this morning was pretty good except for two things. First, I thought I'd forgotten my neck warmer (it was later discovered at work in the bottom of my backpack) so I was cold. Second, I slipped on some ice. The weird part is, I caught myself before I fell all the way. I wrenched my back (which popped things like an adjustment feels) and landed face down, however I didn't hit the sidewalk. I landed like I was in the upper push-up position. So I just stood up and kept walking. 170 lbs ago I'd have needed a crane and a few angels to get up. At my heaviest, I was prone to slips and usually landed full-weight on my knees before being laid out completely. This was a welcome change. My wrists hurt a little bit from hyperextension but not too bad.
Menu: B: Protein shake.
MS: 1/2 cup ff greek plain with 1/2 cup blueberries
L: The last of the chili! My daughter is getting the beef/barley soup that my wife made in her lunch instead. That crock pot owes us NOTHING. What a great invention and investment.
AS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with 1/2 cup chopped cucumbers.
S: I can smell the beef barley soup from here......
ES: None. OK some decaf.
All vitamins and water, no problem.
Accountability: This morning at work, for the first time in a long time I chose to socialize at the regular coffee maker instead of making it at my desk like usual. Nothing wrong with that, but there was a plate of shortbread cookies (not huge) and I ate two of them with "da boys" while we chatted, before I realized what the hell I was doing. So I felt AWFUL at that old habit found its' way from the deep recesses of my brain. All winter I've avoided the kitchen treats so I felt like a bit of a failure for the brain fart. Is it the end of the world? No. But I WILL be doing another 3.3km around my neighbourhood after supper tonight. I do get 5.5km walking in twice a day on my commute, which equates to about 14,500 steps total. Another 3.3km will put me at around 19,000 plus whatever I do at work.
QOTD: My bedtime routine consists of falling asleep on the couch around 10pm (that darned blanket/fireplace combo), waking up at 11 and going to pack my lunch, get my clothes ready for the next day, checking that the girls are covered up and watching them sleep soundly just for a minute (I've done that since they were babies), checking the weather network for the morning commute and plugging in my phone before crawling into bed for midnight. Usually by 5:50 I'm up feeling somewhat rested, though I think I'll adjust my numbers a tad to squeeze in a bit more sleep.
I hope you're okay from your fall. Take it easy!

Good morning everyone! Rain was crazy on the drive in, but it's sunny w/ cute puffy clouds right now? It's supposed to rain all day and can I see dark clouds in the distance. I love that I can open my office window and listen to the rain, it truly is the little things.
QOTD - Just about the same as you Daisy! wash my face, slather lotion on my extremely dry skin - head to toe, water pik, floss, brush my teeth, check the weather for tomorrow, pick out my clothes, plug in my phone/watch, double check my alarm setting...I'm a bit fussy about these things - oh and I can't leave laundry in the dryer overnight, I can't handle it! Often I am folding before bed. I fall asleep watching King of Queens or Frazier usually. If I don't have something on TV, I will start 'thinking' about crap that will keep me up so this works for me.
Accountability - great!
13 mo post op -159 - yes!
b- coffee w/hc x 5 already and there may be more. HB eggs
l- chicken
d-portabella pizza
v/l - on track
Have a wonderful day all
