I am salt sensitive, and forgot how it affects me. That has to be the problem; thanks.

Good morning Daisy and OH'ers!!! I loved the new Star Wars movie, I though it was awesome!! But oddly everyone around us including my son said they hated it! I don't understand, but I guess if you are super into Star Wars that was the consensus. Oh well, I can't wait for the next one!!

QOTD - good question...I don't think I would care about money, but I have some very sentimental valuables that are not replaceable. I would hate to lose the photos... I always thought if there was fire, my photo boxes are on top of the list of things to grab, but if I had to choose, it would be the sentimental valuables.

Accountability - Here we go.... We have these awesome neighbors that always shower us with amazing BBQ and Mexican food. Yesterday they brought us a huge plate of fresh homemade tamales so I decided to make them some brownies. I hadn't eaten, didn't have a plan and ended up eating the equivalent of a whole brownie between the batter, arranging and picking. This is the first time I have had sweets since surgery and I felt like a HUGE failure...I though of 'getting rid of it' but didn't. So I waited... It didn't feel good in there, but I did not dump. About 2-3 hours later I started sweating profusely, was lightheaded, shaky, dizzy and felt like I was gonna drop. It lasted about an hour... Scared me half to death (Rob almost had me in the ER). I tried to read up on this - it's either late dumping or RH. Is there a difference? Honestly, I'm glad I had a reaction. I never want to go through that again, it wasn't worth it.

Sounds like a case of RH... you really need to be careful with that, and try to eat something to bring your blood sugar back up, but also with protein to help keep it more stable next time that happens.

Peanut butter and crackers is a good one, but there are other things as well.

Be careful!

I will never do that again, it was scary and awful. I still feel a little physically off.

I read articles and on here this can happen when the origin isn't so obvious. Hoping that doesn't start for me, but I will remember the peanut butter and crackers if it does.

Howdy,

QOTD: Probably photos, since memories are embedded in my head!!!

I realized that I need to start calorie counting again if I want to get the last ten pounds off. It is really easy to eat way more than you think and even though its keto for the most part, if there comes a time when I can actually eat any carbs, I will still have to keep the calories below 1000 per day to maintain long term.

Food for the day:

Lots of coffee 1/2 protein bar

Lunch: tuna package and maybe a cheese stick?

afternoon: Yogurt low carb

Dinner: Meat and veggie

Snack: Yogurt of some sort

700 calories or less , all vits and headed to the gym!!!

Good morning! It was a pretty decent weekend. Accountability was OK, though I had a few treats at a family gathering. It reflected in my daily calories though and the scale was unaffected. Vitamins and water were great. It being -10,000 degrees outside, I didn't go do a heck of a lot, to be honest. I thought about taking the kids tobogganing but even THEY didn't want to go. You know it's cold when....so a lazy weekend it was.

Menu:

B: whey protein isolate shake

MS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with 1/2 cup cucumbers chopped up and mixed in, salt and pepper.

L: Chili. LIkely the last of it, depends if my youngest daugher sees the last 1-cup tupperware in the fridge or not.

AS: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt (plain) mixed with 1/2 cup blueberries (roughly)

S: Unknown, but plan-forward. Drum lessons resume tonight so it'll be quick whatever it is. I'm guessing beef-barley veggie soup that my wife mentioned making. I did see lean ground beef thawing in the sink before I went outside into the frozen tundra.

Got up this morning early and shoveled the drive, cleaned the snow off the van for my wife and chipped through the layer of ice to find the windshield. Got the door open to get it started so the defrost could help me out a bit. The kids were super bummed that the buses were cancelled, but mom to the rescue. They made it to school. My walk to work was a very demanding 5.5 km stretch today. It's much harder to walk on a sidewalk when the snow is halfway up your shin the whole way. I figure it burned a bunch of calories (more than usual) and it took me 90 minutes compared to 70. I'll take that. The walk home will be better (I see people out clearing things off).

QOTD: I'd sooner replace the stuff too, though some days I'd sooner lose it all and go minimalist. The photos are all backed up to the cloud (for the most part) and the memories are there regardless.
