Good morning DD and OHer's, ...our weather here probably sounds absolutely tropical to all of you living through the frigid temperatures, ice and snow... we are in the 40's and it's raining for the next week...no snow!!!
QOTD....I would definitely lose the pictures... I've told my family that any unauthorized posting of pictures of me from my childhood or personal things or whatever would definitely make me unhappy... I'm not talking about 'fat' pictures of me...I'm talking about the memories possibly associated with the pictures...and the jewelry would depend on who it was from....the money is a necessity!
B 1 HB egg, 1 bacon
L 1 chicken tender
D 5 small meatballs
Possible snack= Golgi
Have a great day everyone !
Good morning,
I'm finally feeling better from my cold. It must be going around. A lot of people were sick at church.
I got a new used car from my brother for Christmas so now I have to get rid of my other car now.
Qotd I would say pictures, I have things from my grandma and mom that I cherish so I wouldn't want to lose them.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D roast beef, vegetable and pumpkin pie
Have a wonderful day
Good morning, everyone,
More snow here today, but the severe cold has not yet come back so I get to go for another walk today. I walked for an hour yesterday. It was rough going at times because even though the plows go by every day, we had enough fresh snow yesterday that it was still higher than my boots even after the plow went by. Some of the snow banks were so high I couldn't see over them, and I'm 5'4" tall. I have to bundle up so much I can barely move, lol, but my winter coat is long and super warm. My feet and fingers and face were cold so I bought thermal socks for today's walk, and will wear my ski mask hat today to cover my face.
QOTD: A few years ago my laptop was stolen and the thing I was the most sad about was the loss of my photos, so I'll go with photos. Although the realist is wondering how I would keep those photos if I lost all of my belongings and money?
Accountability: Great, day 3 of being back on track, although my scale is still fluctuating. It's frustrating because the scale was down to 173.2 3 days ago, and then after 3 days of eating right and exercise it went up to 175! Yesterday was 176 so it's starting to go down again but I don't know why it went up right after I got back on track, and was lower when I was snacking on carbs? I'm getting all of my water in, and even got extra in, so maybe it's water?
Menu:
Breakfast: 2 cups decaf with 1/4 cup premier protein, Greek Yogurt, 1/4 cup blueberries
Lunch: 1 egg omelette with cheese slice, bacon (2 slices)
Supper: Cabbage roll made with meat, no rice.
Snack: Pepperette, cheese string.
Exercise: walk, 60 min.
Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto
1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017
Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017
Kathy
are you salt sensitive? I can eat a cup of cottage cheese for lunch and be up a pound the next day even though I was within my calorie range. Before surgery, if I had my blood pressure tested the day after eating Chinese or Mexican food, my blood pressure would be through the roof. I'd go back a week or two later to have it rechecked, and it would be fine (haven't had my BP checked after eating salty food since surgery, but I'm guessing it'd still happen, even though my overall BP is lower now)
