What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Good Morning!
Time since surgery-5.5 weeks.
Pretty cold here in GA still, but supposed to be in the 60's by the end of the week. We have freezing rain in the forecast for today so school and college for my kiddos was cancelled but alas not my office. ;)
Accountability--we were on the road ALOT this weekend with band stuff for my son, but I ate well. Packed my lunch bag with snacks then got grilled chicken if we ate out.
QOTD--That's a tough one. I scrapbook so I love my pictures. But I'm sure I could pull them all from one of my many old computer drives in my basement. lol!
B: Scrambled egg with a bit of sausage in it.
S: Premier Protein Drink
L: Sausage and Peppers leftovers with zucchini and tomatoes cooked in it as well.
D: Not sure yet..May go visit my daughter at her job tonight and eat there.
E: If the freezing rain doesn't start I'm going walking on my lunch break. And the husband and I are meeting at the gym in town after work to join now that I've been cleared for something other than just walking.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Morning Menu Folks!
I'll have to post and then come back and read throughout the day... work woes...
QOTD: While I cherish all of the pictures over the years I've taken, even if they are all in a huge box up in our bonus room, unorganized... (sigh)... and I would be heartbroken if I lost them all, I am a realist enough to know that if I lost all of my money and valuables, I wouldn't be able to make more memories with my family. Hard choice though for sure.
This weekend my daughter had two great pieces of news! First she was accepted into University of Oklahoma! Yay! That was her ONE AND ONLY college she applied to (sigh), and while I knew her grades and test scores were well within their range, I was still nervous for her! She also had her waiver approved for the ROTC Army program... I'm not sure what she's going to do as it seems now her head is reeling and she's not sure she actually wants to do that (when I didn't want her to, she was determined... when I got on board with it, now it seems she's teetering on that decision)... One way or another we'll get her through though and I'm happy happy happy about that!
Accountability: Eh... it was so-so... we went to see a movie Friday night, and I had popcorn... and last night I ate up the leftover of the Hunter Mix (and I wasn't hungry, just bored I guess)... but overall, I did OK, it could have been much worse... I didn't have any of the cookies my son baked, and none of the biscuits my husband made yesterday... so that's something.
Weight this morning 142.6 almost 18 months out, trying to lose the 5 lbs of regain from the holidays
My menu isn't up in the air per-say, but I don't know exactly what I'll eat when. I brought a myriad of low carb pre-measured delights for the whole week. I have:
chicken legs, chicken crack, beef taco meat, ham, meaty baked ricotta... all in individual packages, and I'll choose from these throughout the week for breakfast, lunch and snack. Dinner tonight will be leftover pork steak that I grilled last night and possibly spaghetti squash that needs to be cooked.
I need to work on my water today, and I've added 2 chewable multi vitamins to my patch regime this weekend... I'm feeling drained, and trying to figure out why I'm so so tired all of the time.

So this is an Instant Pot recipe for it... you can also make it in the slow cooker, and there are a bazillion variations...
I add a can of Rotel instead of the water...
Basically, chicken, cream cheese, hidden valley ranch dressing packet, cheddar cheese, and bacon! (and for me, Rotel)
Low carb, but not the lowest in calories... but so freaking yummy!
I make sure to weigh out my portions and I freeze it quickly so I'm not tempted to go back and eat too much of it.

Good Morning! Glad you enjoyed the movie, I haven't really kept up with the new Star Wars but John and Em really have enjoyed them. My weekend was amazing! John planned an awesome day in Southern CA-he had a "tour" of some of the Beverly Hills 90210 filming locations. We drove by the Walsh house, Dylan's house, The Pit Peach and stopped at the high school. We stopped at the cemetery to pay respects to the couple who we rented our house from as we were growing up, who was also our neighbors and were pretty much had the grandparent roll for us since mine lived in upstate NY. We had lunch in Pasadena at a place called Paul Martin's Grill (so good, steak and bacon tacos), then we shopped a little in Santa Monica. Last stop before we hit the road home was Gwen-it's a restaurant in Hollywood that is owned by celebrity chef Curtis Stone and his brother. They also have a butcher counter on-site (see my menu today!) and.....Curtis was cooking that night. Yup...totally got to meet him and take pics! The whole day was perfect and the best birthday ever!
Accountability: I ate too many snacks Friday night and went to bed with an upset stomach, but other than a few granola bars over the weekend I didn't do too bad-nothing "off-plan".
QOTD: That's a very hard question......I think I would have to keep my pics. I can't imagine not having pics of my wedding day, Em's pics, my animals pics...yeah I would have to keep them :)
