What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
on 1/8/18 2:12 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Good Morning pre ops, newbies, novices and Vets. Happy start to a new week. Second week of January, feels like Christmas was so long ago, times sure does fly. Saw the new Star Wars movie on the weekend, it was really awesome and hubby and I loved it, we were super impressed.
Accountability: I did great over the weekend. I stayed on plan. I did add in a handful of peanut M&Ms last night that was not planned but otherwise weekend was good and on plan.
QOTD: Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or all of the pictures you have ever taken? This is a hard one eh? I would lose all my pictures. New pictures can always be taken and for me personally I don't need a picture to remember someone or something, its about the memories you create.

10+ years post op, living & loving life!

Morning everyone! Look who started early! I was just coming over to do the same thing, because I have one of the days when I am going to leave the house before 6am and not be able to post until tonight. I have a 30 month posting streak for my menu and can't stop now!
This weekend was so cold--temps well below 0F, so not one flake of snow has melted. This is legit what it like to live in New England right now:
By the way, I still have one school closed today because they can't get the heat working! This is their 5th snow day so far this year, and they've only had school 2 days since December 22. Today we are supposed to get some melting, and I am terrified that the pipes are going to burst and roofs are going to leak in all my buildings. This ought to be a fun week!
Accountability: I was pretty furious with myself for eating 2 halves of a biscuit over the weekend. I had been so great about cutting flour and sugar out of my diet, so I feel like a big old failure. Whomp, whomp--no more flour or sugar this week! You know what I did that was AWESOME, though? I went into the office yesterday where I was completely alone and I didn't touch any of the treats. Nothing! There were pastries, chocolates, truffles, etc and I didn't even look at them. Yay me!
QOTD: I have already had most of my pictures taken from me. I had a huge flood and many of those pics stuck together and were not salvageable. Then my parents had a fire a few years ago and many more were lost there. It's super sad but it makes you values the ones you have so much more.
30 months post op / 121 lbs / Goal is to lose 1lb a wee****il I am back at 117
Vitamins: Decided to give the patches a break for a bit, and try EZ Melts, sublingual vitamins, instead. Today I will have 6 iron, 3 D3, 1 B12 and 1 multi.
Exercise: Nothing formal but committing to 10,000 steps today.

Good morning DD and Menu crew - wow just like old times! I had a good weekend, though like many others it was too darn cold, spent friday and Saturday in the hockey rink, this is Ryleys Senior year of hockey! hard to believe my baby is a Senior!
Accountability - other than the handfuls of peanuts that I grab, was very good.
QOTD - This is an interesting question. I have been thinking that we do NOT take enough pictures. My folks and Joddies Mom are both aging and I regret the lack of pictures. I agree with Daisy that it is the memories you make, like JB my wife lost memories in a fire when she was younger.....I am going to go with I would not want to lose the pictures for $100...LOL.
Food - today I start my new fitness program/diet, I will not post my menu yet, I am going to beleive in the process for now. Wish me luck as the workout routine is going to kick my butt. I am hoping to lose inches, some weight and gain muscle.
E - today is leg day, unlike any other leg day I have done on my own, hoping I can walk tomorrow...LOL
Stay healthy my friends. Mike
