Hair loss

It's funny you say that about the ferritin. I've been losing hair the last month or so, and need to get it rechecked this month. It was 20 at my pre-op for my shoulder surgery.

Our whole lives we grow and shed hair on a continual, rotating basis. Surgery, particularly the anesthesia, interrupts that. The cycle it screws up on some of us lasts about 6 months. That's typically about how long it will last.
