What's on your Photo Friday Menu?
Mandi, just thought I'd check in. I too have manic depression. Currently paralyzed with depression which.of course sucks big time. Like you I'm on medication (Prozac, lamictal, seroquel and klonapin) but as we know sometimes it doesn't work and we just have to wait it out. I know I have to power through it but it's hard. I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking if you and and can definately relate. Her's hoping we both return to merely moody soon. Nancy
Me either! Thanks for the good vibes back. Yes, let's definitely stay in touch. Sounds like we're in the same boat right now. I think we can get through it though
Oh god, I love her too, she's my lil baby hehe. She has a little too much energy today though. Running and jumping all over the house like she's Tarzan

Hi! I'm so glad it's Friday. The kids are at grandparents' for the night, so it's date night with my wife. We will go find somewhere to eat and maybe take in a show.
My menu today is pretty good.
B: 1/3 cup ff greek yogurt with 1/4 cup fibre-one on it (for a kickstarter "later"), and I added some protein isolate to my water bottle when I got to work.
MS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with cucumbers mixed in.
L: Chili. I added some 357 magnum hot sauce to it like I normally do, but I must have missed the dose because this was hot!!! Very tasty though and it doesn't seem to bother my pouch or system at all if I get a little carried away. I haven't tried any of the super-hot peppers (habanero and upwards) yet, because I'm not sure how that will go.
AS: If I get to it, a shake.
S: Unknown but on-plan
ES: Nah, unless I have a few nuts with my decaf coffee but I doubt it. Trying to stay on track with after-supper eating. That's key for me.
QOTD: I measure success not necessarily by the number on the scale or the tag on the clothes, though those contribute to a healthy mindset. I measure it by the improved health which has been the biggest gift to me with the weight loss. I'm not on any medications (I was only ever on a low dose of Crestor) and I'm not as likely to develop any of the weight related problems. BP and bloodwork are spot on. My joints are strengthening a lot and I feel like my body is really benefiting from the reduced strain on it. From my highest in 2013 I'm down 171 lbs or so, and I can't imagine putting that much into a backpack and hauling it around all the time. I just don't know how I did it.
All these things boil down to my focus being on a healthier lifestyle and good choices forever, over top of the exact numbers. My doctor is smiling, so I'm good with it all.
Have a great weekend~
You are such an amazing success!

Helloall, happy Friday!
Wow, Teena and other folks, you guys are dealing with deeper cold than I've ever experienced! Brrrrrr! Please be careful, and stay warm! How the wild animals can survive in that degree of cold is astonishing.
Looking at a new place today, it is 2 blocks from the beach. I hope it works out, I need to settle where I will be moving so I can feel less anxious. It's no fun being worried. But the good thing is despite the uncertainty about where I'll be, I am very very steady, eating-wise. I only wish I was able to eat more nutritional variety without experiencing discomfort. Hopefully in time I will.
QOTD: Since I successfully lost weight many times before, this part is pretty straightforward. I do take pleasure in seeing the scale inch towards normalcy and do have a sense of success as I see my looks begin to recover and as my comfort in being active increases. But the big success will come in maintaining my accomplishment for two...three...ten...twenty...thirty years, basically, for however long i live!
First: tea with cashew milk, Cinnamon Buns protein drink
B: roast beef, mustard
L: turkey, a little cheddar
D: ham, refried beans
Stay warm my RNY buddies!
Me too... I'm over here swooning
