Portrait of a WLS Success Story

Wow someone should bookmark this for newbies in some section of OH. Fantastic list and better than the articles I see on OH in the newsletter.

I think this list sits under something I call an active WLS mindset. Which means these things are only good if you actively make all of these items a priority. For example, I have a friend who had WLS weeks before me and if you asked her to make this list - she's outline the same things. However, she does not ACTIVELY exercise any aspect of the list. No weighing, measure, planning, no regular exercise, no support group, never looked at OH even though I've mentioned it to her many times. On and on. She's up 15 pounds in the last six months, even though she's 30 pounds from goal. So awareness is key, but ACTIVELY keeping these front of mind is key. I know because I let several items become non-active over the holidays and held steady vs. losing. One week back on track and I'm moving back onto my pre-holiday trend (down 5 so far this week). Thankfully getting back to the ACTIVE planning and other items came easily. I took a big risk and realize now it wasn't worth it at all. I'm humbled by the fact that I was able to turn it back on (really because my support group I set up has helped me stay focused). But, I'm not going to do it again. Way too risky.

Keep it ACTIVE. I'm actually copying and pasting all these items into my day planner right now. Good Luck!

You folks are awesome! I'm gonna post the same question over on the VSG board and then I'll summarize comments for everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
