One on one contact with patients is what I miss the most about not working.

Roasted with bacon = YUMMY!

I do enjoy working from home but mostly because I don't have to do the commute. We are working on a policy at work that will allow us to work from home up to 10 days per month and that would be perfect. If I lived close to the office though, I'd probably never work from home- our new office is so nice and the work space is awesome. I miss my ergonomic chair, double monitor and white noise filter. Plus I enjoy seeing my co-workers.

Good morning. It's still cold here but it's not going to warm up until April so I'm trying to brainwash myself into thinking I'm not cold. I stayed on plan yesterday. I ran last night and realized I'm super out of shape and slow. Thank goodness I have 9 months to get back into Ironman shape.

QOTD: NO! I don't like any cabbage family veggie.

Time since surgery: 3 1/2 years

B: Coconut milk latte and egg bites

S: Coffee with premier protein, 100 cal nut pack, string cheese

L: Salad with chicken and hb egg

S: beef jerky

D: taco meat or chicken breast

W/V: Started

E: 45 min ride on the trainer and 15 min ab workout

Have a great day all!

Really awesome that you do the Ironman! I know a guy that is 63 and qualifies yearly for the worlds in his age group. He amazes me and so I can really appreciate what you do.

Expecting about 10 inches here, and definitely blizzard conditions...

QOTD: Love Brussels sprouts. Like to steam them first then roast them on high heat in cast iron skillet. Yum.

1: latte x 2, fairlife,miralax eggs,bacon, cheese

2: Grilled chicken and stir-fry veg

3: Chicken soup

4: Protein drink with cashew milk

5: Cheeseburger, avocado, salad

6: greek yogurt, kiwi

Figured better to plan a full day and if I don't eat some that is better than not planning. Especially with snowed in status, so easy to roam the fridge.

Ex: think I will pull out Pilates dvd.

Steaming before roasting sounds like a great idea!

Good morning! All my Christmas stuff is down and we are ready to pack to hopefully fly out of Boston tomorrow. In the interim there is a huge blizzard here (just howling wind and rain on Cape Cod where I live right now, but it will be changing to snow). At least I will have all the pre-Florida appointments taken care of. I'm leaving now to take Chiquita for her senior vet checkup. I think we may just have a delay getting out of Boston tomorrow, but we will see...

QOTD: I used to hate Brussel sprouts but over the last few years have begun to enjoy them. DD and DS like them so they are often on the menu.

1 year, 9 months post-op

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Shrimp

S: Almonds, nut thins and humus
