I can remember my grandfather telling me that he and fellow soldiers made snow cream while fighting in WW2, they would use the chocolate bars from their k rations to make chocolate snow cream, brought back some fond memories.

We are bitter cold today with a slight chance of snow. It's 5 right now but with wind chill it feels like -6 so no walk for Lily and I right now. We did do 2 miles yesterday and I finished out the other 2 on the treadmill to make my goal of 4. We will walk at least around the block later this afternoon when it gets warmer and I'll finish the rest of the 4 miles out on the treadmill. Still feeling a bit draggy and my walking speed was a bit slower than normal on the treadmill yesterday but I did get it done. Of course it didn't help that I was doing it at 7 pm after a day full of heavy housecleaning. QOTD I love roasted Brussel Sprouts but don't have them often because most of the year they are pricy. Accountability was great yesterday as I was busy and food still not really thrilling me. Post op 5 years 4.25 months and weight at 117.6 today. Here is the food plan today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chicken soup with meat and veggies and cheese added D 31/2 oz cheeseburger no bun veggie if needed. Since being sick with the flu the meat fills me up and I don't need anything else but there are green beans and broccoli if needed. Have a great day and stay safe everyone as you make the smart choices that head you toward your goals. You've got this!

It sounds like you are on the mend finally. But I chuckled at heavy housecleaning and the treadmill!
