Morning everyone~ I had a tough day with my dad yesterday. He has been in the hospital for several days after having a fall (no injury was found) and being treated for an UTI. He was released yesterday morning and I went to pick him up to take him home. They knew I was on my way yet they sedated him right before I got there because he was agitated when they were helping him get dressed to go home?? He was catatonic - couldn't speak, move, sit, stand. I was beside myself - I had never seen my dad like that in my life, so upsetting. I waited there, all day for it to wear off, my sister came, then my brother and he barely improved by the end of the day and was somewhat responsive - he could talk but still could not even sit up long enough to stand. He has been off his medical marijuana (used for anxiety) for 3 days and the hospital won't administer it so we went and got it from his home and gave it to him. They ended up keeping him another night and my sister is supposed to take him home this morning and will call me if she needs help. Hopefully it goes well. I just don't understand how they could do that to him, seriously, why?
