When to start fruits and vegetables
At 4 months I started having 1oz of veggies and have them for lunch and dinner now I am up to 1.5 to 2 oz. usually zucchini,peppers,cauliflower or Brussel sprots
at 9 months I have introduced fruit. Blues berries which I have 1 serving everyday and I have 1 banana a week and 1/2 an apple everyday

I believe you are best advised to follow your specific doctors plan. As for other surgeon's plans, I was allowed them within the very first few weeks. My plan was far less specific about timing - his philosophy is that everyone is different, so go at your own pace and volume.
Withining the first few weeks/months I was eating lots of fruits and veggies.

I am just under 5 weeks post-op, and at 4 weeks my surgeon moves you to the next food stage which he calls "Soft-solids" So no more having to puree my chicken and what not. I was also allowed to add cooked veggies such as zucchini and squash types, tomatoes as well. As long as they were cooked. And soft canned fruits such as peaches and pears or fresh apple slices no skin.
I have tried zucchini and tomatoes with no issues, and yesterday had some apple slices.
Their main thing was still to get your protein in, then veggies, and then fruits/starches if not full.
Wow. These replies are very interesting to me. I just had my 2-week post op appointment with my nutritionist and she moved me to soft foods. For me, that includes cooked veggies (carrots, peas, cauliflower and brussel sprouts were mentioned). She said wait another 2 weeks for more fibrous veggies like broccoli, asparagus and green beans. She also recommended fruits like bananas, melon and strawberries. I went to the store and bought some bananas to cut up and eat with breakfast. No veggies for now.

At this point, you don't need any of those things. It's just extra calories, especially the banana. You could eat bananas all day long.
Fruit has too much sugar for the weight loss stage. Your body needs protein and fat to function, but doesn't require eating a single carb. You'd be better off sticking only to what you need, and getting the weight off.

Just follow your doctor's instructions. I was eating veggies at 6-8 weeks and having salads at fruit at around 3 months. I have berries every day.
