Restriction?
I'm wondering if you don't begin to feel restriction until you're on solid foods? I'm starting to get a little worried because I'm on puréed and don't think I've felt it yet. Of course since these feeling are all new to me I may be confusing restriction with being "stuffed". I'm still careful to not eat more than 1/4 at a time, even though I don't feel restricted.

I do not apologize for my existence no matter how uncomfortable it might make you.
Some people may not feel real restrictions until the nerves that had been cut during surgery can heal. It is important to pre-measure everything during at least first few weeks if not months. I started feeling real restrictions in month 3-4. Suddenly I would feel full after having just couple of bites.

Everyone is different for when they start to feel restriction. I felt it right away. I know some people who felt it at around 3-4 months out. I know some people here who have never felt restriction. This is one of the reasons that the Vets here on OH are always telling newbies to WEIGH & MEASURE your food.
I can speak from personal experience that when I was MO (morbidly obese) my eyes were bigger than my stomach, I always loaded my plate up with way too much food. So after surgery my "eyes" were still wanting to see huge portions on my plate but by weighing and measuring my food I was never over eating and stuffing my small pouch with too much food.
Don't chase the "full" feeling. We have pouches (RNY people) that can only hold a certain amount of food and once you eat that stop. Its hard mentally and emotionally to give up all that food but its good to lay the ground work now. Good luck!!
