Finally, my surgery date

Hi there. I started the RNY journey in Feb 2017 and just finally got my surgery date. January 23rd. It took a long time because I had to work out things with my therapist. I wanted to get some eating problems under control and am still learning.

Happy to have the date. Just nervous.

Smart move on working on eating disorders beforehand, keep up the great work. Your surgery date will be here before you know it.

Hiya, all the best! I'm the same weight as you and deciding whether or not to go for the surgery as we're considered "not too large"

I'm 8 yrs post op. I lost 170 lbs. It's a lifetime commitment not a quick fix. I have maintained snd haven't fluctuated more than 30 lbs but I have to work on it every day. When i see I'm off track I go back to basics and get it back under control. I could never ho back to my old life. I have nightmares about that actually. Itd a deep rooted emotional struggle and only those who have been through obesity can relate. Fo everything your doc advises. Protein... protein... protein. I tracked everything I put in my mouth for the 1st yr. I counted carbs, fats, calories and protein.
