What's on your Photo Friday Menu RNYers?
Liz, you look amazing and you are healing well! Keep up the great work in 2018 and remember to take good care of yourself so you have what you need to care for DH.

You look great Liz!! As far as having patience with DH, don't sell yourself short. This is a difficult time. Is there a local support group? My friend's husband has early onset Alzheimer's and sadly it changed their life. They even moved from Georgia back to Texas because she couldn't manage. And it's taking a toll on her mental well-being also.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
We do participate in a support group where DH goes to a group meeting with other Alzheimer's sufferers and I meet with the spouses/caretakers. I know I'm not unique but some have more patience than others. I'm lucky I'm not dealing with some of the situations others are such as driving that needs to be stopped or financial fiascos. But I do lose patience and sometimes it is because he does something due to his misunderstanding (or I misunderstand him). I do think his communication issues are getting worse. For instance, yesterday he ate some of the ham I had planned for dinner at lunch. I told him he should have asked and that there was lunch meat available (as always). I did serve the ham at dinner because there really wasn't another option. He kept pushing it around the plate not eating it, so I asked why. He asked me if I wanted it, and I said no (I had something else as planned), but didn't he want it? He indicated that he didn't, and I got upset with him about eating it at lunch, reminding him that I had warned him. Bottom line is that somehow he thought that I wanted the ham so he wasn't eating it because of that, but he was unable to communicate that to me (or to understand the point I was making).

Happy Friday! Having a 3 day weekend is great until it starts filling up with obligations. But thankful I have friends and family.
QOTD: used to but haven't done so in years.
B-skinny hot chocolate, banana, boiled eggs.
MS-coffee
L- leftover Greek salad and grilled chicken
AS-skinny hot chocolate
D-never sure, hubby is retired and does most of the cooking, but he knows the plan is always protein and non starchy veggies.
Have a good one!
