Good morning! Another day down and one more to go before we get another long weekend woohoo!!!
qotd: I'm terrible about keeping a journal! I was really good about logging my food into mfp until I hit my severe depression. Everything went out the window when that happened. Time to get it all back on track! Still struggling with it all but I'm getting there.
b: syntrax
l: leftover sausage
s: Greek l&f
d: tbd... maybe eggs?
v: patches and oral d and iron
e: going to take it easy today and just do legs and arm weights etc. (back is still killin' me)
hope everyone has a great day!
I did mostly OK yesterday, but I was horribly hungry last night so I had a Fit & Light yogurt with a T of tahini in it. That shut my stomach up for the rest of the night, although I went over my calorie limit by about 100 (tahini is super high in calories - but it is SO filling). I was afraid if I didn't do that, I'd be eating junk all night, because I wasn't feeling in control. So I guess it was OK, given the situation. My weight was up over 148 this morning. I hate this! Although I think it's due to the accumulation of eating slightly over my limit most of the week (I never had one horrid day - it was more 100-300 calories over my limit most days), plus all the sodium I had yesterday (Pick 2 turkey chili + Asian chicken sesame salad at Panera Bread for lunch, plus pulled pork for dinner - all of those are pretty high in sodium)
I really need to exercise today, but it's too freaking cold to leave the house. The temp is up slightly (it's supposed to make it into the teens today - woo hoo!), but then, it's snowing. There are days I wish I lived in Florida... I hate feeling trapped in my house!! Maybe I can do some heavy housework and run up and down the basement stairs several times. I don't know -but I'm not going out in this!!
QOTD: I don't journal, unless you count food tracking. I probably have four years' worth on sparkpeople, plus I kept food journals in spiral notebooks for years before going digital with it. I have food records going back into the late 90s - maybe even earlier.
2 years 6 months out:
B: homemade pumpkin yogurt with 1 T tahini and 2 T high fiber cereal
S: coffee with half & half
L: either chicken salad (made with Greek yogurt) or a regular salad with some diced chicken breast on it
D: whichever one I don't have at lunch, I'll have at dinner.
if I'm needing a snack, I'll have raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip. I need to eat lightly today because a neighbor is coming over this evening for coffee & leftover tiramisu. I'll have a very tiny piece or else I'll have a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie instead
It seems like months since I've been here when it actually has only been a week or so. Well, I've gained 2 lbs and will need to concentrate to get back into the groove b4 my next weigh in which is on 01-23 with my PCP. This will be 4 of 6.
QOTD: I've tried journaling in the past and do well for a period of time then 1 day of lapse turns into a week, then a month, and then I can't even find my journal. I started a food journal when I started my WLS journey and that didn't go so well either. However, I downloaded the app BARITASTIC and log my foods at least 6 days out of 7, so this has worked for me.
I'm pre-op so I didn't want to post here all that I was eating since it is more than what you vet's are eating. Kinda like not wanting to eat in front of someone without offering them any. You know what I mean? But in trying to get ready for my life after WLS, maybe I should start posting it here. What do you think?

I think that posting here, and tracking your food with a tool like MyFitnessPal (or Baritstic) is a great idea prior to surgery!
