Does this sound concerning?
I went to my PCP with similar symptoms (in my case, indigestion and discomfort under my rib cage after eating or drinking coffee). She ran a bunch of blood tests to rule out issues with my gall bladder, liver, and pancreas. All were fine. She suspected I was getting an ulcer (although she did not scope me to see), so I'm being treated for one now...
You are less than a year out and symptoms can come and go. I couldn't drink normal until after a year out and sometimes would go through bouts of burpy-ness from something I ate.
Keep watching for any changes so hard to tell when your GI system has been rearranged as symptoms overlap, sometimes they are a passing fluke and nothing and sometimes they are something.
Is your surgeon practicing somewhere else local? Or call the hospital and see where they are referring patients. At under a year you should be expecting to have follow up.

My hospital is currently trying to connect its patients to another Bariatric program through a different hospital, but sadly my surgeon moved to Iowa. He was excellent and hate that he was let go.
That happens to me sometimes with plain water. I switch back to lots of herbal tea and SF popsicles and that seems to help. Do keep a watch on it and call your PCP if it continues.
