Good Morning! Our holiday weekend was pretty good-nothing too stressful. I am happy that my hubby got me an ancestryDNA kit that I just didn't want to spend the money on. I am excited to get the results back.

My routine is all off today, my gym opened a new location today and closed my usual one. They also fired the
"opener" so now they are waiting until exactly 4am to open so it was a morning of transition.

Accountability: Over the weekend had a granola bar, apple with PB, protein bars and things like that but nothing too crazy :)

QOTD: Nothing new, but I need to get focused on my crocheting. The never-ending blanket I am making my hubby isn't going to make itself right?!?!

Time since surgery: 3 years 4 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Salami, Carbmaster yogurt, and mixed nuts

D: BBQ chicken "pizza" (1/2 low carb Lavash, shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese and cilantro)and a square of intense dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with canned pumpkin and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1163 Protein:120 Carbs:79 Fat:46

Have a great one!

I have a blanket I started for my boyfriend at the time. I hate the color, but it was his school color and that's what he chose. He's gone, and I still have a crappy orange blanket, that I made extra long because he was tall.

Needless to say, I get the never ending blanket project.

I remember you telling me that when I started on this one....it's crazy how long it's taking me.

I had a couple of bad eating days as well - 1800 calories on Christmas Eve and 2100 yesterday (my maintenance amount is 1700). It could have been worse, but... I actually did OK most of the day yesterday, but my plan already would have taken me up to my limit. Unfortunately, I had an unplanned protein bar in the afternoon to keep me from eating the unhealthy snacks, and I had a second piece of tiramisu for dessert....so that did it. But back to it today (unfortunately, no one wanted to take home any of the leftover tiramisu, so it's in my basement fridge. I emailed some neighbors to see if they wanted to come over for coffee and dessert some night this week so I can get rid of the damn thing. If not, I'll toss it in a couple of days, since I doubt it freezes well)

I'm going to a yoga class later this morning and then out to lunch with the instructor, who happens to be one of my friends. I don't know where we're going, but I"m going to suggest the Low Carb Cafe since it's not far from the yoga studio. Then this afternoon I'm going over to another friend's who broke her ankle a couple of weeks ago. At 5:30, I'm taking her to the hospital for an MRI, so not really sure what dinner is going to be. If I'm home, it'll be leftover pulled pork. But it may be too late, so I have no idea... I did stick a couple of protein bars in my purse just in case.

I started adding a tablespoon of tahini to my morning yogurt yesterday morning. I really can't taste it at all, but good Lord is it filling. I can easily make it to lunch without feeling hungry at all!!! I think some extra healthy fat here and there is going to be key for me from here on out. It seems to work a bit better than extra protein and extra fiber (although all three are pretty filling!)

2 years 6 months out:

B: homemade plain Greek yogurt with 1 T tahini and 1 T raspberry preserves mixed in

S: coffee with half & half

L: ? Something safe, though....

D: ditto

ex: yoga

Interesting about the tahini. I'll have to try that.

Merry day after Christmas Julia and everyone! I had a great and hectic Christmas, and my adrenaline loving soul was happy. The weather was pretty awful on Christmas Eve (sleet and snow), and I was afraid people would cancel on our family gathering, but they all came through like troopers. It was a terrible day for eating, with all snacking and no meals. I did make my goal of not seeing the scale go up, so that is a positive. I had Christmas dinner with some friends, which is what I usually do. I love my family dearly, but after the crazy of Christmas Eve, I am generally looking for quiet the next day.

QOTD: I have a friend whose family business is chair caning. It is a fading art, actual hand caning instead of just using sheet cane. Good for you for wanting to learn it.

I wAnt to learn to paddle board. I am going to Maui for 2 weeks next month, so that may be the time to finally do it. The friend I am going with is on board for doing it too (see whT I did there. On board? Ha!).

Menu is up un the air. I had some leftover frittata for breakfast, but have no idea what is in the fridge/ freezer. I think there is some shrimp, and those chicken thighs, so that will likely be it.

the picture below is of me with all of my nieces it hardly ever happen that we are all together, so it was really special.

Have a great day!
