Thought I'd better get us started!

I'm lying in bed with one of my cats on top of me. DH is headed outside to shovel - I really should get dressed and do something productive this morning! I don't have any cooking to do (that was yesterday), but I do need to wrap some gifts before we head over to my mom's after lunch.

Accountability was better than I figured it would be yesterday, but I still went over my calorie allotment (by about 100 calories). I'll take some raw veggies & Greek yogurt dip over to Mom's in case I have a hard time controlling myself. Much better than all the snacks that my sister is likely to bring....

QOTD: if you celebrate Christmas, what was your favorite gift? We haven't opened ours yet, so I have no idea!!

2 years 6 months out:

B: plain Greek yogurt with 1 T tahini and 1 T raspberry preserves mixed in

S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: chicken salad - possibly on a Flat Out Fold It

AS: raw veggies and Greek yogurt dip (??)

D: lasagna, salad, tiramisu (I know - luckily, too much pasta and too much sugar make me feel like crap, so I'll be eating very small portions) (wish I would have been in charge of the lasagna this year instead of my sister - for the last couple of years, I've made one with noodles and one with zucchini. Much safer!)

Good morning and Merry Christmas to all of you! Thanks for getting us started Catwoman!

We were like little kids this morning. We woke up early, fed the cats, got Christmas flavored coffee and then went back to bed to open presents. I got a new cat coffee mug, some special shoe laces for my running shoes and a waffle maker that I've already used. I also got a gift card for a massage, which I am looking forward to. I got the wife several pairs of warm fuzzy socks, a pair of colorful gloves that have the special tips for using electronics, and the big gift was a Virtual Relativity headset with stereo. She played with it for almost an hour before she got too dizzy to walk. Then I made blueberry and pecan pancakes with turkey bacon. I only ate 2, which was just the right amount. I don't eat pancakes very often and I don't use syrup, but they were good. It has been a lovely Christmas morning.

The pool opens from noon to 4:00 and I plan to go swim for an hour then.

Menu:

Breakfast: turkey bacon and 2 blueberry pecan pancakes

Lunch: turkey breast, baby carrots

Snack: string cheese

Dinner: beef roast, baked potato, salad

Exercise: swimming

Merry Christmas, menu buddies! I need to post today before we head to the inlaws. Didn't post yesterday and the eating was nasty. Way too many Triscuits and spinach and artichoke dip were eaten. Ugh! Taking my knitting today so I can keep my hands busy and stay away from the munchies. Lily and I got our brisk 4 mile walk done already. It was quick because it was 17 feels like 10 out so neither of us slowed down. Will probably do another mile later.QOTD a pair of vintageLee jeans with a high waist and button fly. I didn't have a pair in the 70s/80s because I couldn't find them in my size. These are a size 3 which matches with a 0 or 00 now in 2017. Have to love vanity sizing! Post op 5 years 4 months and weight at 120 today. Heres the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1 cchili with cheese and onions D probably more chili S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with friends and family!

Morning and Merry Christmas RNY'ers!! I was up early and did my run so the kids wouldn't be tortured waiting for me to get back. 6 miles done, presents open and breakfast done. Hubby and the older boy will head out to see the Star Wars movie in a bit, I'll shower and dress and start prepping the ham for dinner. Roast was already prepped.

accountabilty: I rocked it yesterday! Stayed within my 950 calories, drank TONS of water and it paid off- down 3# today. Looking to repeat the same today.

qotd: favorite gift was a simple pair of earrings hubby got me. He doesn't care for jewelry, so it means a lot that he went and picked out something according to my taste. Kids each got me gift cards, but I've sworn off using them till I'm back in my comfort zone with my weight.

M1: scrambled eggs, 3 turkey sausage links, 1 slice french toast 2 sugar cookies

m2/3: maybe a protein bar- trying to eat light till dinner

m4: Ham, roast beef, candied yams. Mac and cheese/mashed potatoes for the hubby and the kids. I forgot to buy a green veggie-- oh well.

Good afternoon menu crew! Thanks for starting us off Trish.

QOTD- I got so many nice things but my new black knee high uggs are my favourite.

We had bacon and egg breakfast casserole and will have turkey later. Accountability hadn't been good.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!
