is it a drink.... a protein drink?I think it is and comes in a canister. I think you can drink it but a more seasoned veteran would know better

Did your nutritionist or surgeon give you guidelines on how many grams of protein, sugar, carbs, etc to look for? As long as its high in protein and low in sugar its probably fine. Like the person above said, maybe wait for a veteran to answer. mine is just a guess

Unjury products, including Strawberry Sorbet are great immediately post op. They have good protein statistics and were recimmended by my surgeon. They also have a chicken broth flavor that is great for when you get sick of sweet tasting protein drinks.

They are in my post op approved drink list. Actually the only ones they sampled and advocated.

Unjury is very high quality. Unless your doc has an issue with that particular flavor based on color, I don't see why not.

Reddish colored things are sometimes discouraged around surgery because it might make it harder to diagnose a problem.

RNY and VSG eating plans are (or at least should be) identical.

I would be surprised if you're not allowed protein shakes right away post-op (or does your surgeon want you on clear liquids for a couple of days, maybe?). If you are, then Unjury is a great choice. As others have said, their protein shakes are very high quality.

i was given unjury protein drinks while in the hospital but found them difficult to get down.

In my case, it seemed as though what "tasted good" to me changed immediately after surgery. Protein drinks that I had loved in the year prior to surgery suddenly tasted vile and made me gag!

Word to the wise: buy small quantities of protein drinks, jello, other post surgery foods. Otherwise, you may end of with a pantry full of food that you can't/won't eat.
