What's on your Saturday Menu RNY'ers?
Hey everyone. I'm up, so I figured I'd get us started. I'm sure it'll be quiet as everyone focuses on family for the holidays. No run for me today, I have to go into work to help with a move. I'll do a SWORKIT work out later.
When I get home I'll bake a little for the kids- nothing fancy, cupcakes and brownies. I will avoid both like the plague though. In trying to get out the door for the gym as fast as I can in the early mornings I was waiting to weigh myself till after I'd gotten back. Well, I lose a lot of sweat in my workouts so my weights haven't been real. I'm up to 206, which is unacceptable. I'm 11# over my target. So back to weighing before I leave the house and no treats for me this holiday. I can do this.
I do need to go to target today too, and clean my bathroom/vacuum. Otherwise it's nothing to do schedule till Wednesday. I like that.
Qotd: what are you wishing for from Santa? Me- nothing. New carpet was my desire and we got that, beyond that I don't need a thing. Just quiet time with my family if 4 is enough for me.

Good morning! I had some Christmas treats yesterday and I expect there will be more over the next few days. I'm just trying to keep the quantities under control unlike pre-WLS. I try to minimize what's in my house and just sample at other people's homes.
QOTD: I'm with you - quality family time is all I need/want. I am getting a new pair of Rothy shoes from DH (I ordered them), so that's a plus.

Good Morning Shauna and Menu Family!
Thank you for starting us off, Shauna!
QOTD: I don't really have anything that I want or need. I have a few little things that I picked out for myself that Saralisa is going to give to me: A himalayan salt candle, some drawing pencils, etc. But I agree with Shauna and Liz. Quality time with family is the most important thing!

Good morning menu peeps! Lily and I got our first walk in the snow in for the season and it was great! We did 4 miles and she pranced, spun and hopped like a bunny the whole time. She loves snow and you can't help but smile when you see her. We just got back from camping yesterday afternoon and had some great hikes there every morning too. Accountability was good for me yesterday as I kept busy. Have laundry to do today and I need to run through the music for church tomorrow. QOTD nothing really. Post op 5 years 3.75 months and weight at 118.4 today. Heres the food for maintenance B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey with cheese baby carrots(3) D 31/2 oz pork chop 1/2 c diced tomatoes S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added blackberry jam. I can just picture Lily - makes me smile!

Good morning everyone! Yesterday ended up being a marathon of shopping, taking care of business, cleaning and ended with driving all over the city looking at lights while listening to Christmas carols with my son. It was lovely! All I have to do today is grocery shop and wrap! Looking forward to relaxing for the next couple of days.
QOTD - The only thing I really want is a new Keurig and more specifically the one from Costco that has size, temp and strength control. I have a good feeling it's sitting under the tree right now, lol. It's a tradition to buy each other a special ornament every year and it's my favorite part! Other than that I don't want or need anything. I love to spoil my boys though = I love playing Santa.
Accountability - meh... there were many BLTS of things...

Hey All! Thanks for the compliments on my cookies yesterday. I had fun making a zillion more and I am getting faster/better. I swear, I would love to drop out of society and just decorate cookies all day... I guess I have to wait until I retire, but I can dream...
Accountability: WTF is wrong with me when I am not working? I just don't keep myself to a plan when I am home all day. I don't eat the worst stuff (it's not like I am in a corner stuffing my face with loaves of bread & mounds of chocolate or anything), but I never eat to my plan. I infuriate myself sometimes.
QOTD: Since my boyfriend and my mom are on this thread all the time, I'm going to pass on answering this. LOL.
B: 2 Protein Coffees
S: Chomps Meat Stick
L: Turkey & Brie & Cranberries
S: Grilled Chicken with EBB spice
D: ?? No clue
I've been dumping ranch dressing seasoning & some nutritional yeast into plain Greek yogurt and using it as a dip for raw veggies. I've been eating that when I'm in the mood to snack (even just the ranch dressing stuff alone is fine, but the nutritional yeast gives it a more complex flavor). Sometimes I'll also eat a bowl of high fiber cereal with unsweetened cashew or almond milk. Or a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter on celery sticks. All the stuff is pretty filling. I know though, it's hard when you're home. At least at work I have enough stuff going on that it keeps my mind off eating. Well, most of the time, anyway......

Hi all, happy December 23rd! Thanks, Shauna, for starting us off today.
Still cleaning the house today, going grocery shopping, and shipping at the Post Office, too. Then I'm done! Looking forward to having my favorite nephew over on Christmas day. He'll spend Christmas night with his girlfriend and I'll be on my own, so I will be sure the place is beautiful, peaceful and cozy, and full of candlelight, and I'll curl up with the kitties and watch Christmas movies I love - The Bishop's Wife, It's a Wonderful Life, and Love Actually. I'll visit on the phone with family and friends, and all will be well. I'm going to go to Midnight Mass tomorrow night at our beautiful Spanish Mission, built long, long ago by the Chumash Indians and Franciscan priests. I love Christmas mass, all the greenery and candles and songs, and that magnificent powerful ancient story, so moving and redemptive. And I love the incense, swung from a golden thurible, turning the air blue with fragrant frankincense and myrrh!
QOTD: I truly have too much stuff as is, but I did ask for a specific book (and there is a big, suspiciously book-shaped gift wrapped under the tree). Beyond that I really just want intangibles: peace, health, and happiness for all those I love.
First: tea with cashew milk, Cinnamon Buns protein drink
B: chicken thigh, cottage cheese
L: tri-tip, mustard
D: turkey, green beans
Have a wonderful day my friends!
Hello all-

B: Protein Oatmeal Maple Brown Sugar
L: Tuna Creations pouch
D: Grilled Chicken
S: Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yougurt
