So I went in for my surgery on the 20th. My dr. said everything went text book. My liver was smaller so no complications there. After I got to my room i slept most of the time lol. Over the night they were concerned because my urine output was no where near where it should be. They noticed when i got up and walked that it would put out a little more so they decided to take the cath out even though my output was only 15ml. After the catch came out i couldn't pee. They said if i didn't pee by 5 they were going to have to put the cath back in and stay an extra day. At 4:45 I went in and was able to pee lol. So I was able to go home last night. Though I kinda wish i didn't. The weaker pain med's they sent me home with were no match for the pain i'm feeling. Today I was up and walking around the house and helping with some light Christmas decorating.

make sure you are sipping your fluids, poor urine output can be a sign of dehydration...

Congrats. I too had a catheter put in post-op which was easily my worst experience of 2017.
