Extreme pain in left shoulder and back.

I had my gastric bypass surgery on 12/5. I've done pretty well until yesterday. I hadn't had a BM since Sunday. After taking miralax for 3 days, I still hadn't gone. I finally went to the Bathroom last night after using a fleet enema. I woke up this morning with extreme pain in my left shoulder and upper back. I've tried walking, heating pad and gas X. My surgeons office was closed today and will remain closed until after Christmas. I would appreciate any guidance you can give me. Thank you in advance for your help.

Sounds like gas pain. Best thing you can do is walk around as often as possible and drink lots of water.

your surgeons office should have someone answering calls even over the holiday. Call their office.

Go to the ER. Not to alarm you, but pain to the left shoulder, arm, neck, jaw, etc can be cardiac in origin... and it's better safe than sorry.
