So sorry about your mom. I hope telling her story brings you at least a bit of solace.

I also believe her story serves us well. We all love the ever-improving image we see in the mirror as we go through this process and sometimes we take for granted the more significant benefits. Normalization of blood pressure is so important in our long-term health outlook.

I lost a friend last year to a heart attack. she was only a few years older than me but she was obese for a long time. Her death definitely played a role in my decision to have surgery.

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Thank You Scott-

Yes normalizing blood pressure is important. Orginally I did this surgery for my kids. I wanted to see them grow up. I now also will honor my mom and loose the weight for her because she struggled with it her whole adult life. She was a good woman and prayed for everyone when they were ill. She now is with the lord and family we have already lost. Glad to hear you are honoring your friend with your weight loss Journey. Prays for strength. Merry Christmas. and Thank you once again.

I went through that eight months ago with my father. It's horrible. I am so sorry. But like you're doing, I kept trudging on because I knew would want me to succeed

Thank you CatWoman7-

Sorry to hear of the loss of your father. It's not easy I lost my father Sept. 1988 and now Mom has Joined him. I have broke down a few times but I feel I have not really broke down yet. Still feels like a dream. For now I keep trudging on. Mom would want me to keep Going. Merry Christmas

I am so, so sorry for your loss and I understand your pain. My beautiful mother passed away suddenly on Dec. 20, and we buried her yesterday. We buried her in Dec. 23, which was also my son's 13th birthday. He was also one of her pall bearers.

Dorothy I think tomorrow is going to be difficult for us, but being surrounded by family will help us to remember the good times and get through it. We both belong to a club that I wish didn't exist, but we'll get through it for the love of our mothers. They're looking down at us proud as pea****s of our successes!!

Bless you Gerry. I'm so sorry for your loss. I will pray for you and your family to find solace in each other.

It's a tough holiday for me and my family as we're waiting to have my stepmom's funeral later this week (12/28) so more people can fly in. Tonight my Dad, sister and I are going to the next door neighbor's annual Christmas Eve party put on by her best friend. It will be nice to see everyone but sad too.
