I'm thinking now I'll take a couple of months off (after I retire), and then decide if I want to find a part-time job (I really do not want to work full-time anymore, but part-time might be OK). I was asked if I'd consider coming back there part-time. Although I didn't say no because I don't want to close off that avenue in case I change my mind, right now I'm thinking "no way". If I do decide to pursue a part-time job, I'd rather do something completely different. I think working part-time in my current place is going to seem like I never retired. Ugh.

A month before I left I definitely thought I wanted to consult. I was less sure by my last day so told them I'd let them know (and set a 1/1 Target in my head). The more I don't have to deal with the schedule (and the stress), the less I want to consult. But maybe something will change...

Good morning. Lucky you to have some snow for Christmas atmosphere! We had a little this week but it is warming up and is supposed to rain over the weekend. I guess that's better for holiday travel than snow though.

QOTD: Good one! I guess i have 2 words: One is routine, as in working to establish a routine for my eating, for DH, and for retirement. Retirement is the other word. I was planning for it throughout the year: I purchased the florida home in February, notified my boss in the summer, started it in November, and am figuring out some of the financial details for next year now.

1 year, 9 months post-op:

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Crack slaw (or chicken)

S: Protein bar

Good morning OH~ I'm off wor****il next Wednesday, YAY! Rob and I are headed north today. His firm's Christmas party is tonight at the San Francisco Yacht Club, it should be a lot fun. Then we are headed to Napa on Thursday. Should be a nice get away.

Last night I had a dream that I went off the rails eating, I was eating pizza crust, crackers and weird looking biscuits? I woke up thinking I had totally blown it for real, lol.

QOTD - this has been a very tough/yet wonderful year. The weight loss+health, my engagement, my son joining the Marines - all highlights. However, I lost my mom and we had to move dad to a memory care home. My family has changed quite a bit. Hoping Christmas will be the day we all come together again. I just found out that my dad will be coming to my brothers for Christmas dinner! I could not be happier about that, we will all be together!!!

Accountability - good - except that food dream I had!!

1 year post op - 163.1

b-coffee w/hc, scrambled eggs

l-Probably chicken breast or burger no bun on the road

d-Christmas party- hopefully seafood, but protein forward for sure

v/l on track

I have got to go pack!!! Have a wonderful day!!

Good Morning! Not sure how it can only be Wednesday! I have done enough work this week for it to be at least Thursday. Our temp is a tad warmer today with some light rain expected so tomorrows "drop" will be about 20 degrees different from today-crazy weather.

Tomorrow should be fun here at work. Last month my local team (7 of us total) decided to buy the fun dressy Christmas dresses (swing? style) and we are wearing them tomorrow! We haven't told anyone else in the office so it should be fun to see everyone's faces when they see the entire admin staff all decked out. I am sure I will have a photo to share on Friday.

My dress is a little big (ordered a few sizes up since it was coming from out of the country) but I am hoping that adding a belt will help. Oh and some of us are wearing petticoats under too (I am using one my sister wore for a ceremony when she was a freshman in high school-so it's at least 25 years old).
