Good morning and welcome to your Tuesday - the weather is wet abd mild today. Sure hope it dries up before it gets cold again or it's going to be really icy.

QOTD- What's a tradition you have with your loved ones for the holidays? We don't really have what you'd call set in stone traditions but we always get up super early- I don't think my youngest even goes to bed tbh. And then open presents, breakfast and then a big family get together for lunch and dinner. And last year we started doing a secret Santa on Christmas Eve. This year my in-laws are participating too.

Accountability was good yesterday. Someone posted yesterday about being in maintenance mode even though they have more weight to lose and that's what I've been doing too. Yesterday was good though and today will be too!

Menu:

B: Fried Egg and 2 strips of bacon

L: Protein choice from the cafeteria

D: Chicken- not sure how in cooking it yet

Exercise didn't happen yesterday but it will today.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Good morning menu folks! Today is warmer here which seems odd for the end of December. I want to get out and walk today at lunch to get in some steps while it isn't too cold and icy.

QOTD: In my wife's family they always opened some of their presents on Christmas Eve, while at my home we always waited until Christmas morning. So in the years that we've been together, we always open one gift on Christmas Eve and they another first thing in the morning. For the last five or six years we've spent Christmas afternoon and evening with friends and had a big dinner. They aren't hosting this year so we will have to figure out something new to do. I do plan to use my new waffle maker several times over the next two weeks, so that will be fun.

Menu:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, ham

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake

Lunch: TJ's Herb Mustard salmon, baby carrots

Snack: ham

Dinner: chicken & broccoli

Exercise: short walk, long walk, maybe deep water aerobics

Hi All, I've been MIA for a bit. I know I always say work is bananas, but really, it keeps getting crazier. Today is my last day before holiday break. I will be off until January 2nd. Yay!

QOTD: Last year was Grim and my first Christmas together and it just so happened that Daisy and her husband were visiting, so this is actually the first year for us to start to establish some traditions together. My mom's birthday is on Christmas Eve, so we always do a lovely holiday High Tea at a fancy Boston hotel. And Grim's BFFs also host a Christmas Eve party every year. Other than that, we will see what ends up happening :)

I haven't posted to MFP in a few days--lost my streak :(

B: Venti Black Coffee & Cheese Sticks & Plain Chicken

S: Fit Frappe Mocha & Greek Yogurt

L: Protein Veggie Cakes with shredded Mozzarella

S: 4 mini Turkey Pesto Meatballs

D: TBD

Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!

QOTD: This year we are having our family Christmas on Christmas Eve because several people have to work on Christmas Day (BOO!). This year we are having a saran wrap ball game for the kids that I am heading up. If it's a success we'll probably do it every year. Here is the link if you want to see what the saran wrap ball game is about: http://awesomejelly.com/the-saran-wrap-ball-christmas-party-game-is-a-seriously-good-time/ We have a dinner, open gifts (we draw names, (each adult drew one adult name and one child name), and then play games. It's such a good time! Saralisa and I usually open one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest of the presents on Christmas morning.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 80, Calories - 1385, Carbs - 123.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: cheesy chicken

D: stuffed peppers

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a wonderful day everyone!

~ Karen

So I've been wanting to do this saran wrap ball thing for our family on Christmas day, but I can't think of things that A. won't break the bank and B. isn't candy (I mean, I'll put some candy... but)...

So give me ideas of what to put in this ball for prizes! Please?! LOL

Hi Pammieanne,

Are you going to do it for the kids, or the adults, or both? I'm doing it for the kids, although we have kids of all ages from about age 3 to nearly 18, and both boys and girls, so that presented a bit of a challenge. I've decided to tell them that they are welcome to trade prizes. For example, if they are a boy and get a "girl toy" or the other way around or if they get a little kid toy and they want an older prize. Some of the things I'm going to put in the balls (I think I'm going to have at least two balls) are:

I got a bunch of Christmas stocking stuffers from Oriental trading.com that includes pencils, little puzzles, little coloring books, bendies, balls, balloons, paddle balls, card games, etc.

Also notepads, stickers, lip gloss, erasers, nail polish, socks, stretchy mittens that fit all sizes, etc.

I'm also going to put in a bunch of candy (that I had left over from Halloween) and some quarters and dollar bills.

I went to the Dollar store and have also been getting stuff on our local Dollar Auction.

I hope this gives you some ideas!

So it'll be mostly for adults, with one 9 yo and my two (15 and 18)... I was thinking about this at lunch...

Thinking in addition to gift cards and money, that I could use the number system and wrap a few presents and number them... then put the number on a piece of paper in the ball!

That should work just fine!

I'll do some candy/gum simply because everyone will like it except for me, really... but I'll just grab some fun cheap gifts at the Five Below store and just wrap them and give them all a corresponding number in the ball...

There are 9 of us... do you think that's too many for one ball?
