What's on your Monday Menu RNYers?
I am so excited- only 1 wee****il Christmas. Also a little stressed thinking about all that I have left to do but I'm a bit of a procrastinator and this is a good stress. For me anyway. :)
QOTD: Do you use Groupon? Today I received a notification that there's a $10.00 credit for $5.00 for the Tom Horton's Mobile App. I already use the app and because it's fairly new, they've been offering a promotion where your 3rd drink order is free. So between the free coffees and now this I feel like it's saved me a fair bit of money.
Accountability: still a little off. I don't usually have a hard time saying no but it's not going so well right now. I think I have a differ mindset because of the holidays. I definitely need to change that.
Menu:
B: Bacon and egg
L: Cafeteria Protein choice
D: Chicken
Exercise and vitamins and water will all be on track.
Enjoy your Monday everyone!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning menu folks! I have been MIA this weekend with lots of pre-holiday activities. I also have not been as careful as usual about what I put in my mouth. I did alot of baking and fudge making and there were some little bites and tastes. The scale was steady this morning though, which surprises me, but is nice.
QOTD: I've gotten things with Groupon several times and gotten good deals. I haven't used it for a while though. I like their travel buys alot and have gotten some good things.
Accountability: Back to protein and veggies to get off 3-5 pounds to get back in my comfort zone. This is a hard time of year for keeping steady much less losing, but I will work at it. I have been swimming though and getting in my steps so that is helping.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled eggs, 2 oz ham
Snack: protein shake
Lunch: chicken breast, baby carrots
Snack: string cheese, apple
Dinner: shrimp, green beans
Exercise: an hour of swimming

I'm hoping to get some Christmas wrapping done today. No holiday celebrations for us until next weekend which is good for controlled eating.
QOTD: I've never spent enough time poking around on Groupon to find deals. I should do that now that I have more free time.

Good morning menu folks! Lily and I have our 4 miles in and will do another after supper and before handbell choir. Went to a Housewarming and holiday party last night and had a fun time. Most people there were from the cowboy shooting group and it was fun to meet some of the wives who don't shoot and aren't usually there. Accountability was good even with party food for dinner--I managed to eat roast beef and cheese off a sandwich, crab dip and cheese and nuts. I did have 5 crackers for the dip but gave my bread to my husband from the sandwich. QOTD never used Groupon. Post op 5 years 3.75 months and weight at 118.4 today. Heres the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L going out to a tearoom with friends will have stuffed tomato(chicken salad)D 31/2 oz cheesy brats 1/2 c green beans S 5 oz cottage cheese 1 T no sugar added blackberry jam. Have a great day and make those smart choices. I know we all can do this--even with the holiday!
Good Morning! We had a nice weekend (after a chaotic work day on Friday a good weekend was needed). We took my sister and BIL to Ikea on Saturday and we all had a great time and then yesterday was kind of errand day and now off to the races for another work week.
QOTD: I use it occasionally, and I know I should check it more often but might end up spending too much money when all the deals are too good to pass up.
Accountability: Weekend wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. I had a few extra snacks (nothing off my plan but "un-needed") which I need to rein in this week.
Time since surgery: 3 years 4 months

Have a great one!
Mornin' All!
Should be kind of a light week at work. YAY! No evening events, either, which means I should have plenty of time to exercise - no excuses!
Accountability was good yesterday, down 0.4 lbs this morning. Not much, but I'll take it!
QOTD: I used to use Groupon a lot (massages, pedicures, restaurants mostly), but rarely do anymore. They don't seem to have as many deals that interest me anymore, but I did get one a couple of months ago for a 10-class pass at a yoga studio that was ridiculously cheap (like $18 for the pass). I couldn't pass that up!
2 years 6 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with raspberry preserves and Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax latte shake
L: 1 C cottage cheese, raw veggies with yogurt dip
D: pork chop & veggies
Ex: gym tonight! Probably weights and the cross-trainer
Good morning. Time to hunker down as I've been in maintenance mode in the last month, but still have 40 pounds to go or so. So increasing diligence and identifying ways to be accountable. Just a random update: I won an award for a work project and typically there is a dinner and pictures in January. Historically I just don't go because of prior mobility issues and needing to be in business dress. But yesterday I decided to stop by JC Penny and see what they had on sale for sport coat/jackets and dress shirts. I was shocked to find that I was well into the normal size range for jackets and shirts. Shocked may be too strong, but pleasantly surprised. I found a beautiful jacket for $80 (50% off) that I think will last me a long time, since the jacket is one size smaller than I normally would have purchased (but still fit nicely). I also found some great sweaters and casual shirts for the winter - all in size XL. The sweaters were 70% off and shirts 50% off. I love JCP, but it's sad that the business model is so different now. They were the tops back in the pre-internet days. I worked there for a couple of years during college. Oh and I have some nice pants I picked up at Good Will. I laughed when I found a good pair in the closet I just purchased for $7 that are perfect (and they are Stafford Suit Separates). That's funny because that's what my jacket is - weird huh. Good Will has been great to bridge all the sizes I've blown through. I go to the store's in the more affluent areas and you find some amazing quality values. Really saved me as I've lost weight.
B - Eggwhites and Danish yogurt with nuts
S - 2 small cuties
L - Beef and Beans from my Chinese dinner Saturday with a small salad
S - Syntrax shake
D - BBQ beef made into a crackslaw recipe. Man that is good stuff.
S- popsicles
QOTD - yes - I bought a bed and a few certificates over the years. You have to be careful since some places sell you $20 certificates for $10, but you have to spend all $20. That messed my wife up at a local yogurt shop. We ended up having to buy a bunch of other stuff to get to the $20. She thought you could use it over a couple of visits. Nope. I more like the restaurant.com stuff and places like that. We can go to some nice restaurants and save $20 or $30. Those have been a no-brainer for me. But saving $8 on yogurt isn't such a priority. Good luck
