Thank you, I feel so much healthier, and I do have more energy. I'm a nurse at a correctional facility and was called to an assistance call, I ran to it and wasny even out of breath! My surgeon said ill probably get below 150 which is scary to me because I'm 5'8". I don't want to be skin and bones

Normal BMI for someone 5'8" is 122 lbs to 164 lbs so getting below 150 will not make you a skeleton in that range, especially 130-150 lbs. If you can, I recommend you try not to use negative language when talking about your weight loss.

I don't think there is any problem with it. I'm 6 months and have surpassed my final goal so I set a new one. I say go with it. My healthcare team did not seem concerned by it at all.

The only drawback is possible hair loss as I see it.

Also it might be better if your calorie deficit was so high because of increased activity and not only due to food restriction.

I have been losing lots of hair but I make sure I get my protein in.

I hit my surgeon's goal in less than 4 months and my stretch goal in 5 1/2 months. I was nearly 15lbs under stretch goal by 8 months. KILL IT!

As long as you are getting your protein in and taking your vitamins, you are good. Many people get to goal quickly. I lost 100 pounds in 5 months.

When you get closer to your goal you should get a dexascan to have your bodyfat measured. This is a good way to see if your goal is reasonable or if you should work to lose more. I am 5'7" and 140 is my goal. I am not skin and bones at this weight.

I worry about bariatric programs that are shocked by success. To me it sounds like they do not have many patients *****ach goal which is not a good sign.

As others have said there is no benefit to doing it slowly. Just keep at it. It doesn't get any easier than it is now.
