Good morning, TGIF!
yesterday was good for food, stuck mostly to plan, except I made egg drop soup for dinner instead of the protein shake. Not a terrible choice though.
Qotd: haven't taken any extra time since I don't have enough paid time and need to save what I have for doctors appointments and at least the first week I'm out for surgery.
Breakfast: i had a 2 egg omelette with diced chicken breast and veggies. I?ve never put chicken in an omelette but I do believe I?ll be doing it more often.
Lunch: the other half of that chicken breast with broccoli
dinner: unplanned, need to go to the store.
Photo: my spring seed order arrived! Merry Christmas to me! I?ve been planning my spring garden so I know what seeds to start and when I need to start!

I love looking at nursery catalogues and dreaming of a pretty garden where I can walk through with a nice apron, hat, and pretty garden gloves....but then I remember how freaking hot is is here and I have to have something that can pretty much take care of itself, lol. My husband went to a lot of effort to build me a raised vegetable planter, this year and we grew tomatoes and had 2 squash plants. Deer are thick here so we enclosed it with free netting and surprisingly, they never bothered the garden. They could have been laughing behind my back, though, hard to tell.?

Lol I have rabbits like mad, but ever since I started letting my cat come outside with me, they stay away. She's not an outside cat, but she'll follow me around and spread her scent ;) not sure if that would work for deer! Where are you located?

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words yesterday. I really appreciate your kindness.
I am hosting Christmas Eve this year, and getting ready has actually been a good distraction. I am mostly done, except for the food preparation. The menu is planned, and assignments have been given.
Accountability: I made it through day 1 of carb detox. I did substitute lunch and dinner with Chinese pulled pork and broccoli from Whole Foods, but it was still in line with my plan. I have house guests today and tomorrow, so dinner plan is up in the air.
I am back at my Oh-hell-No weight, so down 2 pounds from yesterday. I need to lose 5 more pounds, but realistically hoping to just hold the line through the holidays.
QOTD: I would only take 2 days off before Christmas to get ready for Christmas Eve, which is when my family gets together to celebrate. I took a week off when I was living in other states and had to travel.

The pictures below are pretty random. My new gas firepit (and my niece's wineglass), Layla chillaxin', my Christmas tree and my family crammed into my home for Thanksgiving.
