Hi menu kids! I have been MIA for quite awhile. For those of you that don't know, my dear brother had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and I have been providing support to him and his wife. He passed away a couple of days ago. It was a tough ride, and only 6 weeks between diagnosis and the end. We were gathered around him and playing his favorite music on the day he died. The Iz version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was playing and he took one last breath and then passed peacefully. I will never hear that song again without thinking of him.

I have a rare day today with no plans, so I will be taking care of things around the house that I have been neglecting (I'm looking at you, laundry). I still have some stuff to nail down for the funeral on Saturday, but I can handle that over the phone and email.

Accountabiliy: I have been stress eating over the past couple of weeks. Not a lot of volume, but tons of crap. While we were keeping vigil, it was pizza and Chinese food because it was easy, and no one was in the mood to cook. So much salt! As a result, I am 2 pounds over my Oh-Hell-No weight. So, that stops today!

QOTD: i just spent a tons of money completely redoing my back yard. It turned out really well. While I haven't had a lot of time to use it yet, I am super happy with how it turned out. It will be fabulous in the summer!

So sorry for your loss. I am the oldest of my siblings, but have lost 2 younger sisters. I've buried a husband and grand parents and parents but it is totally different for siblings. I read somewhere that the bond is different because siblings are your 1st friends.

I will remember you in my praywra.
