Whatâ??s on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
Good morning. I'm not looking forward to going outside in the cold today (25 right now, but probably feels colder with the wind). I am NOT used to it. We finished most Christmas decorating and most gift buying yesterday, though I will hopefully finish up today (which I guess means that I have to go out).
QOTD: We always used to do photo Christmas cards of the kids every year. In 2004, we sent an card of thanks to everyone for supporting us through our daughter's illness. At that point we thought that she was cured. After she died in 2005, I just couldn't do cards with her missing in the pircture. So we haven't done them for 12 years. I feel guilty now that I don't, but doing them still fills me with dread. Also, DH used to help and actually did the bulk of them as most of the contacts/relatives were his. But he wouldn't be able to help at all anymore, as he wouldn't remember who to send them to and his writing abilities are pretty limited.

Here is the supplier. I tried a sample from the OH conference and found them to be tasty and somewhat filling. I got the 100 calorie pack ones (though Amazon) to keep me from eating too many:

Thank you - yes and it has been a long time now.

QOTD: In general no, especially to people I see all the time. People far away sometimes I will send a card.
Spent most of yesterday sitting in hospice with my sister's best friend since childhood, who was a fixture in our house forever. I didn't know that I would spend the whole day, it just felt right. She is still with us, i am waiting to hear. 64. Too young.
Accountability: Eating was wacky because of the hospice day. Had a 6-inch Subway grilled chicken sub. I was really hungry and needed something substantial. It was 5PM and I had only eaten 2 hard boiled eggs and a piece of cheese. It supposedly had 320 calories, I went with it.
This morning I am making trays of Baklava, Spanakopita and greek salad as a gift for the Holidays to the PT office. I can't give everyone a gift individually, so figured this was better. I told them it was coming so I am committed. Also trays so I can't sneak any... out the door it goes.
B: Usual Latte, faux sous vide egg bites
L: Cottage cheese and apple
Christmas work event: Salad
Dinner: IP Chili- trying a new recipe using stew meat.
S: Greek Yogurt, chai latte, ?
