What's on your Monday Menu RNYers?
I have decided that I'm going to get back down to 140 lbs - come hell or high water! My husband also needs to lose about 8 lbs, so we're in this together. This should NOT be that hard. When I was SMO, eight pounds would have been nothing. And I'm not going to "diet" - if I do, I'll probably just gain it right back. I'm going to do it by *sticking to my plan*, staying at or under 1700 calories a day (my maintenance level), and getting back to regular exercise. This should work, slowly but surely. I've been allowing myself to stray too often, and I've gotten out of a regular exercise routine (other than yoga - which is good for my mind, but not for weight maintenance). I can do this!! (I was down a pound this morning - 147 - so really just seven more pounds to go!)
QOTD: I'm not allergic to anything that I know of. The third week after surgery I broke out in hives, and the PA at my surgeon's office told me to stop taking ursodiol for a few days, since that's a possible side effect. So I went off it, stayed off for about two weeks, and then went back on it gradually - and....nothing. No hives. So I'm not sure what it was. I also had this hive-y, rash-y thing on my upper legs last week. Not sure what that was all about, either. So I guess maybe I *do* have some allergies, but I have no idea to what... (and those were the only two times in my life I ever remember having hives).

So Sorry for the sad post, optimistic for the "got this" attitude post, and happy for happy posts.
I did get most of my Christmas shopping done Saturday, so I'm happy about that, got to pop out to the bookstore for a few gift cards and 1 restaurant gift card and then I'll have to package up everything. And hubby only had 1 slight meltdown, so he was a trooper!
Yesterday was busy. After svc at our church, we had to go to our neighboring church to practice for the nativity. It was freezing! But was able to sing without my teeth chattering, so I was good.
Calories were over abt 300 both days, so today, it's back to the grind.
Have a good day!
Pamela
