3 month follow up
I had my 3 month follow up with my primary doctor yesterday, they drew 1 vial of blood and after I seen him I found out he only did an a1c. I'm a little fruatraited he didn't draw all my labs, and he is part of the"weight loss group" along with the surgeon and Nutritionest. My a1c was 5.7 being off all diabetic medication amd insulin, but I don't know where my liver functions are at, my cholesterol, my hemoglobin or anything. I have my 3 month follow up with my Nutritionest and surgeon, I'm going to ask if he will request those labs. But the good news was my a1c is 5.7 and I'm considered a diabetic controlled by diet and I weighed in at 194!

I was off all my prescription medication a week after surgery, I was taking diabetic medication, insulin the last 3 month's before surgery, high blood pressure meds, and high cholesterol meds! And now just on vitamins!

Congrats on doing so well. Please do have your surgeon draw the blood for a full panel of tests or give you orders so you can go get it done somewhere else. At three month your vitamins should still be pretty good but you need these numbers to establish a baseline. Plus if for some reason you already are having low results in an area you can get right on it.
When I have full labs drawn it is between 10 and 13 vials.
