What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Morning! I'm so happy I was able to get my run in before the snow started. It flurried as I finished up, it was kind of cool. I'm currently living in hoarder style hell. My upstairs carpet install that was supposed to be today looks like it won't happen thanks to an employee calling out. So all of our upstairs belongings are crammed downstairs- and we have to live like this through Monday. Ugh. I'm not typically anxious, but living in this state has got my anxiety sky high.
Qotd: well especially since our TV's are packed away at the moment, yes I am heavily reliant on my phone/tablet. Phone more so, but tablet when I need to work on something more involved.
201.5 today, 2.7 months out

Good morning everyone! It's 40 degrees out and will warm up to 80 later. No snow for us in CA but these fires are unreal and incredibly scary. We drove to LA on Wednesday (through most of them) and it was bad then - it's gotten much worse. The devastation is heartbreaking. Where I live is north of Ventura and Ojai but we are covered with smoke. Praying for those effected. Cara - are you okay?
QOTD - I'd be SOOOOOO lost without my cell and laptop. It's how I stay sane and organized. I've tried several different tablets but I could never get comfortable using them - I just thought they were so awkward. I prefer my laptop.
Accountability - great
1 year post op - 162.0 - skipped my daily miralax for a couple days due to travel and I'm paying for it now.
b- coffee w/hc, scrambled eggs
l - chicken breast w/side salad
d-sausage w/homemade coleslaw
Have a great day!!!

Hi Amy! Thank you for thinking of me! I am okay. The smoke is bad and absolutely everything is covered with ash, but I am fine. My brother and his wife are ok too - they haven't had to evacuate and hopefully won't have to (they are in the Mission Canyon area of Santa Barbara). It is eerie to see the sky be so dark - it's like twilight all the time. The neon red sun glowing in the middle of all that smoke looks like the Eye of Sauron! And the orange glow cast over everything would be beautiful were it not for it's cause. I too am praying that the fires will soon be contained. The terrible destruction and the danger are incredible. I am so sorry for the people who have lost their homes, and so sorry for the poor animals. I am praying for all of the incredibly brave firefighters. I so wi**** would rain! Stay safe Amy!

went to sunrise yoga this morning. We'll head out for coffee as soon as DH gets home from the vet's office with Ruthie. Then I'm working from 1:00 - 7:30 (boo!). The place we're going for coffee is closing for good tomorrow, and we both have pre-paid cards there. Fortunately, I don't think our balances are too high, so we'll pick up some things for lunch & dinner today (since I'll be getting home too late to cook). That should hopefully take care of the balances - and if not, we'll be getting stuff for tomorrow, too!
QOTD: I do use my cell phone, but I'm much more reliant on my laptop. It's small (10", I think) and converts into a tablet. I have it with me most of the time. It's a lot easier to use than my phone, but I do use the phone for texting and for quickly checking the internet if my laptop isn't convenient.

Morning all,
First timer here. Just had surgery a month ago and so far it's going great!
Today turned the big 29 lol. Probably going to spend the day skiing with my kids and enjoying all the snow we got the last few days.
Qotd: I couldn't live without my phone, I'm constantly on it when I have free time.
Breakfast: coffee and premier shake
Lunch: blueberry Greek yogurt
Dinner: TBD
Exercise: 2 mile walk and skiing
Congrats on your surgery. My two cents for you is to drink lots of fluids. I had to work my way up to 100 oz per day to keep the loss going. Also walk, walk, walk. I started the day of surgery in the hospital and haven't stopped. There is debate about whether exercise helps or hurts weight loss, but I will swear that it made me stronger and helped to develop muscle as I lost weight.
Have fun skiing with your kids!
