What's on your photo Friday menu RNYers?
Karen, you look lovely! I love the colors!

Looking good! I think the cold is harder to take when it comes suddenly. And give Lily extra hugs (going to miss walking with Duchess).

strayed from my plan a bit (when it happens, it's always with dinner and/or evening snacks), but it wasn't awful. Still, weight hasn't budged. I'm not sure if it's the additional fiber (I've been eating more of it lately to keep myself feeling satisfied) or if I've really gained weight, but I'm going to try to stick to lowered calories the next few days. I just don't want five pounds to turn into 30! Like the recent "fear of regain" thread, I, too, have a real fear of regain. But I think that's actually a good thing. I could easily become too complacent and this whole thing would explode. Much easier to nip it in the bud before it gets out of control.
working tomorrow - boo. Feeling really burnt out the last couple of days. Maybe because I've been thinking about retirement. Or maybe I just need a few days off. Thank God the holidays are in a couple of weeks - I need the break!
QOTD: we don't really buy much anymore. My family is small and pretty frugal, and we're all old (except my 20-year-old niece) and already have too much stuff. We'd all love to get rid of stuff! So we usually end up getting each other gift certificates. But I did get my sister and BIL an Instant Pot this year (on Black Friday when they were pretty cheap). DH and I rarely get each other anything. I have no idea what to get my mother and she's not being very helpful, so it'll probably be a gift certificate again. My MIL likes getting amazon gift certificates, so that's what we'll get her. This whole thing seems so ridiculous (at least with the gift certificates) - I feel like we keep passing the same money back and forth every year. As for my niece - she moved into her own apt over the summer, so I may get her something for that. Like a small appliance or a couple of nice pans or something. Or pictures - I have many in a closet that I don't have enough wall space for, and some of them are really nice museum art posters. Maybe one of those....
2 years 6 months out:
B: homemade pumpkin yogurt with high-fiber cereal
S: coffee with half & half (may have an Unjury chicken broth protein shake for a snack as I didn't make one of my fancy latte shakes this morning - not enough time or motivation)
L: 2 hard-boiled eggs, celery with peanut butter
D: not sure. I don't have any thawed meat at the moment (although lots in my freezer), so maybe turkey meatballs with some kind of vegetable
probably another yogurt somewhere in there
ex: yoga
So glad it's Friday! It is cold and rainy here and feels like holiday weather.
QOTD: I just made my shopping list yesterday. Told hubby we were going to do it all or as much as we can, tomorrow. If you hear a loud boom that will be my husband exploding, hehe.
Yesterday I did pretty good until a I had to make a quick drive through before going to practice for our Christmas concert. Didn't make too wise of a decision on my sandwich choice so yesterday's calorie count was 2175. Oh no! Today will be better.
One of our mangers who is is Birmingham said she had snow! For those of you in the north, you can't probably appreciate that statement, lol. But we get excited and close down everything if we see a flurry!
Have a great day!

Happy Friday menu folks! I'm just back from 2 1/2 hours at the dentist's office. I've had pain in that tooth for quite a while and 2 years ago I had a root canal in it. Now they finally determined that the couldn't save it. When the dentist went to pull it, he had lots of problems. Lots of pus and it was broken into tiny pieces only held together with the crown. It's all done now and I have to wait 6-8 weeks for an implant. I was going to try to work after it was done, but I am hopeful that in a few days I will finally be out of pain. Sigh!
The other bad news is that I'm not allowed to go swimming today because they don't want pool water in my mouth to cause infection. I'm disappointed because swimming helps me to relax and I need that right now. So I'm taking my percocet and antibiotics and going to bed for a while.
Food is up in the air for today. Probably some soup after while. No nuts or other crunchy things today.
Have a great weekend folks and stay warm.
