What a lovely Beagle! I think they are wonderful dogs, and Duchess looks so beautiful here. Clearly, she was very well loved, and had a wonderful, happy life. I'm very sorry for your loss. Hugs to you all.

Thank you Karen. She was so sweet and we will miss her so much, especially DS. He was her primary "person". He was 12 when we got her and he named her and held her first and on the way home her first day with us.

I remember you telling about your son lying on the floor with Duchess when she was ailing. So sweet.

OHers that enough of losing pets. My prayers go out to Liz and her family. Lily and I got our 3.9 miles in this am and will do another mile after supper. I don't have any Christmas pics so sorry there. Hubby surprised me last night after supper by taking me to a concert of two local groups that I had mentioned I'd like to attend. One was a Christian group --four sisters who had beautiful harmonies but used taped background tracks. Not a fan of those. The other was a Christian bluegrass group who run the local auction house. Hubby and I go up there about every week to the auctions but I had never heard them sing. You've probably never heard of them--The Harmons but the dad got his start in Allison Krause's band. Amazing singing and footstomping guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin backgrounds. Overall a really fun night. Post op 5 years 3 months and weight 118.4. Accountability good as I was out of the house. Heres food for today. B1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chicken tortilla soup D 31/2 oz chicken thigh 1/2 c spinach S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added blackberry jam. Have a great day all and I've got to get ready for church.
