What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
happy Sunday funday folks!
reading through yesterday's posts, and all I want to do is sit in my pjs and watch Christmas movies! Might also make a trip to Costco too.
well, the kids party was a hit yesterday! My bosses were super happy. I get the feeling though, my predecessor set the bar pretty low.
And party number two was fun too! Although I was exhausted by the time I finally got home.
qotd: I'm still obviously on a Christmas roll!! Let's make it a photo day! Post any holiday pic you want!

Good morning weekenders! It is raining out this morning (I didn't expect it) so no hiking or at least it will be delayed until afternoon. I guess I will go swimming again today. Yesterday I did both a hours worth of swimming and an Aqua Zumba class. I always feel awkward with the zumba class, but I just do my best and try to enjoy myself. The pool has regular classes on Monday and Wednesday evening as well as occasional classes on Saturdays. The Saturday class is smaller, so I feel more comfortable there.
IF, love your picture with Santa. You look great! Also glad that the parties went well.

Happy Sunday.... Woke up way earlier than I wanted but oh well. Today is quiet day laundry and football. I have to find a cookie recipe for next weekend for the annual cookie swap at work. However, I know if I ask sweet my sister in law will make them for me she and my nieces love to bake. I just buy the supplies plus they get all the cookies anyway. I will let my husband keep 5 and the rest go to my dad, gram, and down there.
QOTD: I don't have a holiday pick yet. I guess from what I am seeing on Facebook I missed some good parties last night. Oh well there is always next year!
Food for the day:
B: Coffee with premier and eggs w/ salsa and cheese
L: ham
D: chili (my brother is practicing for next year already, silly man brought to the house put it on the deck and texted me from the driveway that it was there said he did not want to catch what I had)
Have a good day friends....
Yesterday (and the night before) were tough days as our goofy, loving 14 year old beagle Duchess had to be euthanized yesterday morning. DS had to do it alone and was a mess yesterday leading up to it and afterwards. She was a wonderful sweet dog, loved by all (even DH who wasn't very fond of dogs in the past).
QOTD: A memorial to Duchess, plus a picture of DH with a tree at the harbor here. It is weird having 85 degree sunny weather and Christmas decorations.
1 year, 8 months post-op, maintenance:
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and Canadian bacon
L: Turkey salad, tomato and cucumber
D: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese (having an evening beach picnic with friends)
S: yogurt

I was so sad when I saw about Duchess yesterday. Praying for you all as it's extra hard that you weren't there and your son had to do it alone. Every time I go through that I swear I won't get another pet--but then I get lonely. All we can do is love and care for them as long as we can. Hugs my friend.
Thank you. I dread going home, even though Chiquita will still be there it will be so different.

we've been through this so many times and it's always awful. I have been more upset about some pet deaths than I have about human deaths - but then, pets are with you every day, and you really notice it when they're not there anymore. Plus, it's just really hard. I am so sorry - and so sorry that your son was alone when it happened. Poor guy. My heart goes out to him and your whole family.
