What's on your Friday menu RNYers? Photo Friday!
stayed on plan again yesterday and down another 1/2 pound this morning. I was hoping for more, but I'll take it - esp since I had cottage cheese for lunch yesterday and turkey/stuffing/gravy for dinner (i.e., sodium).
thank God it's Friday. I'm leaving early today because I have a dentist appt this afternoon. Not much on tap for the weekend other than a friend's holiday open house tomorrow night. We've gone to it before. She and her husband are both physicians and most of the people who go to the party are as well, so I don't do a lot of socializing there (they all seem to know each other...), but Julie is a fantastic cook and is also pretty introverted, so the two of us usually hang out in the kitchen and deal with the food. It's fun - but I need to be really careful!
QOTD: I've seen Jordan's syrups but have never tried them - I've been tempted by the price, though. But since people have started talking about them on here (there were some other comments on here about them a week or so ago, too), I'll give them a try. I used syrups a lot in my protein shakes when I was early out (Torani SF). I don't use them nearly as much anymore, and there are flavors I have that I haven't used in months. But I still use the Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Pumpkin Spice, and Cinnamon Vanilla in some of my shake concoctions (like pumpkin lattes), and I like cooking down berries with either a little Cinnamon Vanilla or one of the fruit-flavored syrups.
2 years 5 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, 2 T Crio Bru grounds, fresh raspberries, 2 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin protein/Miralax latte shake
L: cottage cheese, maybe some raw veggies
D: pulled pork, asparagus
probably another Greek yogurt or OH crustless pumpkin pie later on tonight - and/or a Crio Bru with half & half (I've really gotten into this again the last couple of nights - after a very long hiatus. The cacao taste is satisfying the half & half is filling...so helps with the night eating)
ex: yoga at 5:00. May go to the gym later on tonight. DH learned his blood pressure is borderline high, so now he's all interested in diet & exercise...yay!!
Teena, you are looking fantastic! I miss having a holiday party to go to. My pictures are of the "pond" in our park which we walk around, taken just about at dusk.
QOTD: I've become a coffee fanatic (previously I drank one cup a day but really only to wake me up in the morning). I also crave fish, including fish like salmon which I didn't used to like. Like coffee, I ate fish some but could really do without it easily. I like all the SF syrups (I buy what's on sale).
1 year, 8 months post-op, maintenance:
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and Canadian bacon
L: Turkey salad
D: Possibly crack slaw as I need to use the ingredients which I bought for it a few days ago
S: yogurt
