What's on your Thursday menu RNYers?
Good morning! I didn't really want to walk in today, but I forced myself. As I suspected, I'm not really liking the cold as much because I have very little insulation anymore. I know I'll just gear up and go, but at work I'm frozen to the core until about lunchtime. Right now I am typing, but my fingers are icicles. I just finished my breakfast though, and soon it will be time for a coffee (another 15 minutes to get to the 30).
B: 2 little finger-sized meat sticks from the market (on my walk), and when I got here, my tuna/cottage cheese/ cucumber mix with a bit of salt and pepper. Didn't feel like a shake today.
MS and AS: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt/frozen berry mixed in.
L: chili, heavy on the bean/beef content. Is it ever good.
S: Probably a piece of chicken breast and some beans, but I don't really know.
ES: Decaf, a cup of milk before bed.
All vites and water, that hasn't been a problem thus far.
QOTD: We have a Costco membership. It's come in handy for Christmas presents but we go for groceries and vitamins frequently. I'm not completely sold on keeping it but, for now it'll stay. I like the different stuff they stock vs. what we normally find out there.
QOTD: there's a few Costco's in NYC and I'm lucky enough to live within walking distance to one of them. I've been a member for many years. I have no vehicle so it's just me and whatever I can fit in my "granny cart"
They give you a 2% rebate every year and I believe if you don't make your memenership fee back with that they'll give you the difference. The return policy is the best in all of retail.
I'm interested to see if that is correct about the membership fee. We did not make ours back, and we're probably due to renew.

Good morning :)
I almost didn't get out of bed this morning. I woke up with a sore throat and a headache. Everyone in our office is sick so it's not unexpected. I have a meeting tomorrow so I have to come in then and I could use today to prepare. Tomorrow night is DH's company Christmas party so I will be leaving work just a bit early to go get ready. Should be good -- it is at a nice restaurant (not fancy) that has really good food.
QOTD: We used to have a membership for Costco but I found we didn't use it a lot and when we did we bought things we didn't really need. My grandmother and aunt have memberships so they will often pick up a few things for me -- I love the turkey pepperettes, cheese sticks, and parmesan whisps.
Post-op two years, eight months.
Breakfast - protein bar
Snack - turkey pepperette
Lunch - pork roast
Snack - cheese stick
Dinner - tbd
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.
I hope you feel better, especially for the party tomorrow.

stuck to my food plan yesterday and was rewarded with a 1.5 lb loss this morning. Thank God! Will stick to it again today. Only 1700 kcal allowed (or fewer). I should consider myself very lucky that I can eat that many - I have no excuse for not being able to stick to that - this should *not* be that difficult!
QOTD: we don't have any memberships, although I've considered joining Costco...
2 years 5 months out:
B: homemade plain Greek yogurt mixed with raspberry preserves, Crio Bru grounds, and 2 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin protein/Miralax latte shake
L: probably cottage cheese and raw veggies
D: turkey with 2 T stuffing and 2 T sweet potato casserole (again...)
maybe some Crio Bru with half & half later (had this last night - it oddly really helped with the cravings...)
massage later on this afternoon - YAY!!
