What's on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
Happy hump day!
QOTD: I usually celebrate all week. I get grocery store flowers for my desk at work on one day, get haircut or mani pedi etc each day. I take off the day of my birthday if it's a weekday and hubby and I go to dinner. My brother in law's bday is 3 days before mine so my sister will usually have a joint dinner at her house for her husband and myself.

Hi all, happy Wednesday!
Yesterday I had my first colonoscopy. Because I've had a gastric bypass, I was prescribed a smaller split dose of prep than the full gallon others have to use, but it was still very tough to get it all down - it was actually painful to swallow first a 16-ounce glass of utter, flaming nastiness, followed by 32 ounces of water. These 3 glasses must be taken within one hour. I found the volume to be very challenging. Then the whole series has to be repeated a few hours later! The nurses and doctors were all very nice and the test went well - I was told I got the all-clear, and that I wouldn't need a repeat for 10 years! Thank goodness! The doctor mentioned that since I am a redhead, more sedation than usual could be necessary to keep me comfortable. I have heard this from other doctors - apparently redheads tend to have a low pain threshold. At any rate, I was totally knocked out, and felt the lingering effects of the sedation all day long. It's not a sensation I like at all. But today I feel good!
QOTD: We always celebrate in some nice way, usually with gifts, a special meal, and cake.
First: tea with cashew milk, Vanilla protein drink
B: Turkey, cheddar
L: roast beef, mustard
D: more roast beef, green beans
Have fun today, RnYers!
