I"m going to start doing that. Plus then I'll know if I'm truly hungry. If I'm truly, physically hungry, then something like a hard-boiled egg would sound great. But if it doesn't - if only something like ice cream sounds good - then I'm not hungry.

Night eating is a big problem for me. I know that I will do it in some form, so I try to keep some calories free for that time. I also find that I can go low carb all day but need some at night. Last night I had a rice cake with peanut butter, and although it wasn't ideal, it was satisfying in a crunchy, carby way.

Best of luck and know that you're not alone in this!

I'm sorry you're having a rough time, I can relate. Does your program have a local support group (or maybe they can recommend one)?

Good morning :)

I can't believe it is Wednesday already. Friday is DHs Christmas party for work so I need to figure out what to wear. I usually wear a dress, but I'm thinking dress pants might be more comfortable. I have a bunch now that I bought for work.

QOTD: I love birthdays!! I like to try to do fun things with DH because his family didn't celebrate birthdays for part of his childhood. This year we did a fancy lunch (we had a gift card) and went to a hockey game. For my birthday we are often up at our family's cottage so we usually do something there. I like to call it birthday week because it is often a bunch of meals and get togethers with friends and family around that time. My BFF and I stopped doing gifts a long time ago but we go out for a meal and something like a movie or manicure, etc.

Post-op two years, eight months.

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - egg, orange

Lunch - turkey pepperette

Snack - cheese stick

Dinner - pork roast

Snack - protein shake if needed

All water and vits.

glad to know I'm not the only one who texts under the table! Years ago I volunteered to take minutes at the staff meetings so I could have my laptop with me and sneak peeks at Facebook and my personal email without anyone suspecting anything. It's a lifesaver during long, boring discussions!

Glad that the weight is going down. It is discouraging when it doesn't.

Morning! I'm with my younger son this morning, he's getting his braces off. I can't wait to see him!

Yesterday I felt odd all day, I felt bloated and everything I had on felt tight- even my shoes. Overnight, I felt really sick and didn't sleep well. I got that odd salivating thing a few times that's usually the precursor to vomiting, but thankfully that never came with it. I felt nauseous on and off all night and even this morning. My weight has shot up too. I'm eating light today, still protein based though. I'm sure the weight will balance out once whatever this is passes. I hope it passes quickly, out anniversary weekend getaway is Friday!

Qotd: no special traditions. Usually you get to pick where/what you want to eat. I will spend more $ on a birthday gift since it's not as overwhelming as Christmas. Not much beyond that.

202 today, 2.7 Years out

m1: 1 egg, 1/2 c turkey sausage crumbles

m2: Greek yogurt & berries

m3: protein shake

m4: chicken wings, baked.
