Good morning - it's cooling off here quite a bit. Yesterday was beautiful- it didn't feel like the end of November at all. It was 16 Celsius when we left work which I think is about 65 Fahrenheit. Today it will get down to freezing.

Lots happening today. Heading to work early as we are only open for half a day. We are going to a Chinese buffet for our department Christmas Lunch. I'm heading in early because I have lots to do. And it's also my hubby's birthday. We had a little celebration on the weekend at his sister's and we will have another one with his parents at some point. He's 49 so next year is a milestone for him!

QOTD: Do you have any special birthday traditions? We just do the usual- birthday cake and some presents. Next year I will definitely plan something because 50 is a big birthday.

Accountability was good yesterday. I did have a few peanut butter pretzels but still managed to keep my carbs and calories in range. The deli meat was all gone (teenage boys!) but I do have to work on a plan for when I get home from work.

Menu:

B: Protein shake

L: Chinese buffet- there will be lots of protein forward options

D: It's our busy night as we have bible study so I may just have an omelette.

Weight is slowly creeping down again. 171 today. Vitamins and water on track. Have a great day everyone!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Good morning Teena and menu folks! It is cool this morning, but is supposed to be 63 and sunny today. I'm enjoying the warmer weather while it lasts. I took a nice long walk yesterday at lunch and plan to do the same again today.

I missed water aerobics last night because my dental appointment ran long, but I plan to go tonight and swim for an hour after work. I feel so much better when I swim. It really relaxes me.

QOTD: We are pretty low key with birthdays. We usually go out to eat and get small presents, but nothing big.

Accountability: I was low on calories yesterday so at bedtime I had a protein bar. I usually have nuts, but I was still a bit numb from the dentist and didn't want to try to the crunching.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, turkey sausage

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake

Lunch: chicken breast, broccoli

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple

Dinner: BBQ chicken, salad

Exercise: long walk, 60 minutes of swimming

Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!

QOTD: No particular Birthday traditions, but I do like to "spoil" my daughter on her Birthday, which is coming up - January 5th. I've been shopping for both Christmas presents and Birthday presents for her. I have a few things I think she will like.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 77, Calories - 1,140, Carbs - 108.

I walked with my dog yesterday; the first time since my back has been hurting. My back is slowly getting better. We only went around the subdivision once, but it's a start.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: Beef pot roast, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: stuffed peppers

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

~ Karen

Good morning! Yesterday was beautiful here in Florida (low 80s), so we spent time at the pool. Perhaps we will go to the beach today? SIL is leaving tomorrow to finish up her last 3 weeks before retirement, then she will be here fulltime beginning in January.

QOTD: For birthdays, we always have a dinner (usually out these days), and a cake of the persons choosing afterwards. We just celebrated DH's 65th a couple of weeks ago. We did a surprise party when he turned 40 because he likes those things, but I definitely don't like them for me (and don't like planning them).

1 year, 8 months post-op, maintenance:

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and Canadian bacon

L: Turkey salad

D: Grilled meat of some sort and salad (going to a friends for dinner)

S: yogurt

blew it with the night eating again. SO mad at myself! I'd done OK for a couple of days, then blew it again last night. I think I may look into something like OA. I'm not very religious, but I think it's been helpful even to those who aren't. Or are there other, similar organizations you guys are aware of? I have to get control of this somehow. No matter what, I have *got* to stay in my calorie range today!!

QOTD: no birthday traditions other than we usually go out to dinner somewhere with whatever family is available to get together (my mother, my sister, and her family all live nearby)

2 years 5 months out:

B: Fage Fruyo vanilla yogurt, 2 T Crio Bru grounds. 2 T Kashi Crunch granola

S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: 3 oz pulled pork

D: turkey with either salad or 2 T stuffing

probably another yogurt or a couple of hard-boiled eggs somewhere in there...

I'll keep raw veggies around today - celery sticks and baby carrots. Although night is the real problem. I'll pick up some more for tonight just in case...

i struggle with this also- ive been having solid food at night- staying away from yogurt/pork rinds etc. i can eat two yogurts easily.

i would rather have 5 egg whites for less than 100 calories than a slider yogurt.
