What's On Your Friday Menu, RNYers? Photo Friday, November 24, 2017
I'm so sorry you are in such pain. You've had a long road with these surgeries. What a testament to your determination that your weight is down when dealing with all this!

Hey everyone! I've been up since 6am but was busy catching deals. We were out last night too, we are dies hards when it comes to Black Friday. I think my son got the beast deal on some jeans he was looking for. Hubby bought a google home mini- its cool, but takes laziness to a new height though. Too difficult to pick up your phone, tablet of laptop and google it?, now you can just voice your question aloud. I got my laptop desk, which I'm currently sitting in bed using. Love it- no more balancing various things on my less spacious lap. I'm in for the rest of the day.
QOTD: We'll put our tree up this evening- but no other decorations until after they put in the new carpet upstairs in 2 weeks. We basically have to move all of our upstairs belongings downstatirs, so our house will be a wrec****il after the carpet is in.
198.5 today, 2.6 years out
M1: Dunkin donuts, veggie egg white flatbread (minus 1/2 the flat bread)
M2: Turkey & greens.

Mornin' All! (it's still technically morning here in the Midwest...)
Overdid it yesterday - good choices, but too much food overall. 2100 kcal (my sweet spot is 1700). I know that's what a lot of normal people eat every day, and at one time 2100 kcal would have been a diet level for me, but now - ugh. I fel****erlogged and bloated and crappy this morning. Went to the gym for a 9:00 Aqua Zumba class, so now I'm feeling a bit more like myself. Still, I need to take it easy through the weekend - I had a couple of heavy eating days, and I'm feeling it...
today I need to go to World Market, go to my mom's to see what's wrong with her computer, roast turkey bones, and then throw the bones and other things into the Instant Pot to make turkey stock (never done this in the IP before, but it can be done and it'll save a lot of time - plus I won't have to babysit it, either...). I also need to find and copy some photos that my third cousin wants (I hope I remember which ones they were), since DH and I are headed to the Chicago suburbs tomorrow to meet up with my 2nd and 3rd cousin, who are both into genealogy (my dad was as well, and I have all his files - it was like Christmas for them when I dragged the boxes down there in July...). We'll be back sometime Sunday...
QOTD: with six cats, our decorating days are long over. We haven't done any holiday decorations in years. Plus we usually spend Thanksgiving at my sister's and Christmas at my mom's, and they do decorate....
2 years 5 months out:
B: homemade plain Greek yogurt with homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce (I cook the berries down with a little SF Torani syrup, so no added sugar...)
S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin vanilla protein/Miralax latte shake
L: not sure - probably either a couple of hard-boiled eggs or some cottage cheese - or may combine them in an Emipie egg salad...
D: leftover turkey with a little stuffing and sweet potato casserole
may have a piece of the "pumpkin pie" I made (from the recipe that's still on OH's main page). Only 84 kcal and 11 grams of protein, so it's pretty safe....
ex: already did Aqua Zumba. May go to yoga at 5:00 tonight
have a good day, All!

Hi everyone, happy Friday!
Thanksgiving was lovely here, although bizarrely hot - it was in the high 80s! My brother and my sister-in-law hosted. This was the first time since my surgery that I didn't weigh my food prior to eating, but I think I did fine. I had a little dark meat turkey, and a small bit of this yummy vegetable dish my SIL made out of mushrooms, onions, and green beans, with a mashed cauliflower layer on top. The scale says that I held steady (for the 3rd day), so I don't think harm was done. It was just so nice to be with my family, I love them all.
QOTD: I will put away the autumn/Thanksgiving mantle this weekend, and will put up my Christmas mantel. I always get a real tree, and Costco has had gorgeous and inexpensive trees for the past few years. I'll have to check whether these will be ready for sale this weekend - last year they weren't delivered until next weekend. They go quickly, so I'll get one as soon as I can. That tree will be 8' and in the living room. I also have two small artificial tabletop trees, various garlands and decor items, and a beautiful nativity set. I put a fragrant, real wreath on the front door.
First: Tea with cashew milk, Vanilla protein drink
B: 2 oz. roast beef, mustard
L: 2 oz. salmon with dill and lemon
D: 1.7 oz. Turkey, 0.4 oz. Cheddar
Be peaceful and happy today, RnYers
I'm an adult child of a Christmas over decorator. It was a recessive gene that I did not get. We get a live tree a week or two before and put tons of lights and some ornaments and call it a day.
Today was my Thanksgiving and it was one of the nicest I've had in a while. Mostly I ate my MIL's deviled eggs. She can not cook anything well but deviled eggs. I had a half of a giant doughy roll but couldn't handle it so the dog got some carbs.
It was beautiful riding the ferry. I couldn't ride them everyday but on occasion they are special. The son's girlfriend came along too. It was a good day.
I'm so excited to go back to my regular food. I have leftover turkey and nutloaf. There is one pecan pie and I know I can't eat that without great pain. Not worth it. Also the man child wants to eat the pie. The whole pie tomorrow.
