I made a few things yesterday (stuffing, sweet potato casserole, and that pumpkin pie recipe that was posted yesterday on OH), plus some non-Thanksgiving things like yogurt and hard-boiled eggs. Too much tasting. My calories were up to almost 2000 (1700 is my sweet spot). I went over to the gym late last night to try to burn some of it off - although it would have been nowhere near 300 calories. Ugh. I'd say I'd cut way back today, but it's Thanksgiving - it'd be tough. I'll just make a huge effort not to overdo it today. Focus on turkey and vegetables, have about 1/4 C of stuffing and sweet potato casserole, and that low-carb high-protein pumpkin pie for dessert.

QOTD: most thankful for DH. I'm not particularly close to my family - or at least not emotionally close - so I'm grateful every day for him. Even though there are times he annoys the hell out of me, I don't know what I'd do without him.

2 years 5 months out:

B: Greek yogurt, Crio Bru grounds, raspberries, 2 T Kashi Crunch granola

S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin vanilla protein/Miralax latte shake

L: cottage cheese

D: 2-3 oz turkey, veggies, 1/4 C sweet potato casserole, 1/4 C stuffing, high-protein low-carb crustless pumpkin pie

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! Today we are going to my Dad's. I'm not too worried about the food, I will eat just turkey and few green beans. I'm more worried about tomorrow when I cook the whole meal at home - my way. My favorite thing is my mom's stuffing recipe - omg! It's all I need. I will plan for it though and put everything into MVP. I will chew gum while cooking to limit BLT's. Pie isn't even a temptation for me.

QOTD - Thankful for my family for sure and can't wait to see everyone today and tomorrow!

Accountability - didn't eat what I planned - we went out for lunch and dinner but did really well just protein.

B-coffee w/hc, eggs

l-turkey, green beans

d-protein leftovers from fridge - need to clear it out to make room for tomorrow!

v/l - on track

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Still sending prayers and hugs Kelly. It's neat that you're close to your sister. My sister and I aren't and I miss that. Luckily my in laws are great as they are the only family I have.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans! Today I did a reverse run, ran one of my favorite routes in reverse. Breakfast is done and I'm watching the parade. I'll put the turkey in at 11:30.

Grateful day 4: I'm grateful for two online forums that have literally helped shaped me as a person, my working moms group and OH. I've learned so much about life, health, motherhood, cooking- anything and everything. I sometimes wonder if my Mom would be a different type of person if she had this level/type of support in her life. I turned both of my sisters into simi

Signing in late today, but I just got online for the first time. We half way to my MIL's yesterday and the traffic was horrible. I don't want to try to travel on Wednesday afternoon before Tgiving again unless I really have to. It was just too scary. We got up early this morning and made good time the rest of the way and got to spend some time visiting with my MIL earlier than expected.

The only restaurant in her town (other than McD's) that is open today is Denny's so we picked up turkey dinners and shared them in her room at the nursing home where she lives. She ate tons, which is unusual for her, and enjoyed every bite. It was amazing to see her so happy and generally alert. She has some dementia, but is generally very happy. We don't get to visit very often, but I love her greatly and enjoy spending time with her.

QOTD: I am grateful for my MIL. She has always been loving and accepting and been willing to share what she has with me. Several years ago she had breast cancer, but she has recovered and now is in relatively good health for 87. She gets depressed that she can't live on her own any more and sometimes forgets that she isn't going home again, which is sad. But she is safe and well cared for where she is and we have less worries about her than when she was home and falling every couple of weeks. I love her dearly and am really blessed to have such a wonderful lady in my life.

Accountability: We were on the road yesterday and again today so I've been eating out and not able to make great choices. I had chicken tenders yesterday for lunch and flounder and broccoli for dinner. I ate too many bites, but it wasn't such bad choices. I will wait until tomorrow to confess about my failings today, but I made some compromises for the holiday, but in small quantities. We stopped by the store and picked up some healthy choices to keep in the hotel so I can do better in the next few days.

I doubt that I will get in any exercise today, but I will try to walk tomorrow.
