Drive by post as Im busy busy today. Accountability was good with no extra bites taken. QOTD I love feeling comfortable climbing and wiggling around things. I helped with getting Christmas decoratiins out at church. I climbed up a ladder, pushed myself in a tiny space where I couldn'/t stand up and wiggled around to push boxes out to others. Then I squeezed behind the tree to do lights on the back side--just because I could. Prior to surgery I wouldnt have had the energy to help at all. Post op 5 years 2.75 months weight at 118.6 today and morning 3.8 miles done. Will do another mile before supper too. Heres the food B1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli ham and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz smoked sausage 1/2 c carrots S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Later!

You'll notice my meals don't vary much either. That's probably the key.

Good morning! Today's menu:

B: Protein shake. I find through the week, that's easiest to pack for when I get to work. I rarely eat at home during the weeks. Once in a while if my daughter gets up, I'll sit with her and have something while she eats her Cheerios, but I'm usually out of the house and walking before anyone else is up.

MS/AS: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt, 2 oz berries

L: Pure Protein Bar and an Oikos if I get to it. Man that's a lot of yogurt on the day, but my youngest ate the rest of the soup last night.

S: I might take the family out tonight, but I'll behave. I've got a goal to meet.

ES: Not eating at night anymore. After supper is really the only time I'm tempted to eat anything when I don't really "need" to and I just made the decision to do it. I'll stick with decaf though, because if I don't have coffee, anyone within a 10 mile radius should keep looking over their shoulder for me. (maniacal look on my face, a la Weird Al) LOL

QOTD: Today's Gratitude NSV: I'm so thankful to be off all medications. I have only ever been on one daily med for a slight elevation in cholesterol, and my doc took me off of it to see how things are going. So far so good.

food-wise yesterday was fine until I had a cup of Halo Top late last night. Overall calories were high because of that - but not awful. But still. I'm not sure why I did that as that Halo Top had been sitting in my freezer for at least two weeks. Although then again, a cup of it is 140 kcal. I could have had a thing of yogurt for about the same amount of calories. But that's a dangerous way to think about it. Ice cream can be a trigger food. Yogurt generally is not (for me, anyway...).

waiting for the snowblower guy to come to our house to tune up our snowblower - then into work for a L-O-N-G day of meetings. DH gets home tonight - thank God!

QOTD: I'm always surprised when I notice there's at least a foot between my stomach and the steering wheel. At my heaviest, even when the seat was as far back as it would go, the steering wheel would be digging into my fat. No more!

2 years 5 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, fresh raspberries, 1 T Crio Bru grounds

S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax vanilla latte shake

L: cottage cheese

AS: maybe some hummus with quinoa chips

S: either chicken/apple/pecan salad or pulled pork

Morning Menu Peeps!

So I have noticed the same phenomenon with my driver's seat. My husband and I used to basically be able to drive each other's vehicles without moving the seat. NOW, when I get in one after he's been driving it, I can barely reach the pedals! I have to move the seat wayyyy up. And when I used to get into my daughter's car... well, I couldn't. Seriously, I would have to move the seat back before entering because I couldn't' fit behind the steering wheel. Now I can climb right into her car without any issues at all (I still like the seat further back, but she's 3" shorter than me).

Gratitude Day 2: I'm grateful for my advanced mobility. I never really noticed that I was slowed down by my weight until I lost the weight. I never had sore joints to harshly remind me, but I do remember how much my calf muscles would hurt just walking in the parking lot at a brisk pace... now I just grab the easiest parking spot, almost always in the back, and hike right on in without a second thought of getting tired. Stairs are so much easier too, and it just seems so much easier to walk anywhere! Thank you, RNY!

Accountability: Yesterday was my daughter's 18th birthday. I had a small piece of cake. I also didn't get in as much water as I should have and we ate dinner later than I usually do! Boo.

Weight this morning: 141.0/ maintenance diet/ 18 months out

B: 1 egg and 3 pieces of bacon after I finish my coffee with half and half

S: Cheese stick if I need it or beef jerky

L: 3 grilled chicken wings

S: cheese or cottage cheese

D: Another unplanned dinner.... I plan on choosing well, protein forward! (and no leftover bday cake, she has two days to eat it and then I feed it to the chickens!)

Your dessert plan is the same as mine. It can live here and I'll white knuckle it for 3 days. If you dont eat it by then it's trash(with something thrown on top for good measure.)
