Howdy,
My son who is in college (last year at GA Tech) had to move from his apt in Atlanta to a shared roommate situation in a house where he cannot have his cat Effy. I adopted her until he graduates but the cat is psycho, scared, just had her spayed, shots etc....something he should have done years ago. I have two dogs so she is in a room in my house. She hisses when distressed and goes from being really nice to really mean in 2 seconds flat. She hissed and attacked me this morning and one of her claws impaled me with blood draw. :( My husband is not too pleased with this situation but we are doing our best to make her feel comfortable but short of bringing in a cat behaviorist, not sure what to do about the behavior. Ideas are encouraged!! Or fostering...lol
QOTD: Normally, I cook for three days and invite everyone here. Instead, I am heading out to TN to my brother in law and sister in laws and we are going to their family get together. I don't know what I am bringing yet, but my husband loves oyster stuffing. I like it too but I was hoping on bring a sugar free pie like pumpkin and some veggies. Bought a turkey anyway. They were on sale for 59 cents a pound at Publix and make good eating for my dogs, me and my hubby.
Food for the day
Protein shake breakfast and coffee
Lunch: Egg beaters and ham and cheese
Snack: Cheese stick
Dinner: Some sort of meat and veggies

200 lbs lost and 17 pounds below goal !
How long have you had her? I don't have cats now, but we did all the time when I was growing up. I think she's just stressed about the new digs, and then the vet visit probably added to the trauma. I would say just give her some time and space and she will come around.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
cats act like that when they're afraid or stressed out. I'm sure she's very stressed out from the move (cats have a difficult time with changes in their environment), and she's probably afraid of the dogs. Just keep her in her room for awhile - away from the dogs - and be patient with her. She'll most likely come around.
Good morning (almost afternoon).
Had my yearly mole check at the derm today. They took one off and when I looked at the diagnosis it said, "nevus of uncertain behavior." He he.
Picture is of me and one of my fav people, my sister.
