What's on your PHOTO Friday Menu RNYers?
Another cloudy, cold and windy day in Illinois but Lily and I got our 3.8 miles in already and will do another 1 mile after supper. QOTD our Thanksgivings are spent at the in laws who live about 10 minutes away. We always have a great time and they love Lily our boxer too so she even comes along. They used to have boxers when my husband was younger and I think they miss their lovable goofiness. Lily has loads of that so she will share! We eat traditional foods and there are desserts out the wazoo but plenty of things for me too. We just enjoy spending time together and usually play Trivial Pursuit or cards after we eat. If the weather is good sometimes my mother in law,her dog Maggie and Lily and I go for a walk too. I really have a better relationship with her than I ever did with my mother. Post op 5 years 2.75 months and weight at 118.2 today. Heres the plan for food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L tuna salad snack pak D 31/2 oz baked fish 1/2 c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Happy Friday (and my second Monday) everyone!!!
Left Monday evening for Austin (hubs second surgery), and returned yesterday evening... it was a whirlwind trip, but all turned out great, and as a bonus, got to have dinner with Elizabeth and her clan on Tuesday evening! I just love meeting up with her when I'm in town, and I think of her as my long lost best friend from years ago! When we get together, it's like we've known each other forever. There's a small chance that my husband might move within the company, and Austin is one of the destinations. I really hope that comes to fruition!
QOTD: We'll be having TG lunch/dinner over at my sister-in-law's in-laws house. When I asked what we could bring, you'll never guess what I was tasked with... HOMEMADE YEAST ROLLS... Really??! REALLY?! Ugh. I also asked to bring deviled eggs, and I'll do those up in several different ways... some with bacon and jalapenos in them for sure! But... HOMEMADE YEAST ROLLS?! Lord help me...
Accountability: the pasts 3 days weren't perfect. But they weren't horrible either. I made good choices MOST of the time, but allow me to warn you... if you ever are in Texas and you see a Bucee's... don't stop! And if you do... walk past the homemade potato chips and don't look!
Weight this morning 138.6/ maintenance diet/ 18 months out
B: I grabbed two freezer treats (low carb pre-weighed leftovers), but not sure which one I'll have
L: See above
S: I have cheese sticks and pepperoni AND beef jerky from Bucee's with me... (I did manage to get good things there too)
D: Open. We have DHS coming to our home for a 'home visit' because some friends of ours are fostering their grand-nieces, and we are on the list as back ups. Have to have the home visit so they can spend the night. Lady will be at our house just as I'm getting home, and I don't know how long she'll stay, so dinner is up in the air until she leaves. Did you know that you have to have a written escape plan for fire/tornado/flood, and a fire extinguisher in your kitchen to be approved? (plus a long list of other things, but these two we were lacking, so they stand out the most)
Have a great weekend! My picture is of Elizabeth and I on Tuesday evening! Standing next to her makes me feel like... A. want plastic surgery LBL (ugh, never happy), and B. like I need to lose more weight! She's going great and says "Hi" to everyone!

It was so much fun to hang out with you again! I see that picture and think you and I look like we are about the same size and you look great so it makes me feel like I must be doing ok. My boobies though! Oh my goodness. Sometimes they look way too big to me still but it has been a year now so I guess I have to get used to them. Apparently that is not 'post surgery swelling' anymore. LOL
Happiest Thanksgiving menu folks! I hope your holidays are bright and merry.
