Good summary Daisy,

I had carb cravings just after surgery and the nutritionist said for me to UP my B complex sublingual... now, I found that B complex liquid, sublingual is one of the main things that help me control cravings..On the first few days i begin it, i take morning and evening... then after 3 days go... to one cc per day.. It does seem to take about 3 days for the B's to take full effect...

I try not to go anywhere hungry, and eat something, before we leave home, even if it is just a serving of protein. This helps me to control the picking up of something- anything, because my sugar has dropped with an increase in my activity. i struggle to get in 90 grams protein and don't count my liquids, now.

. I am 23 years post op...one of the pioneering surgeons did mine n Memphis, He called it a Memphis By-pass, but included a pouching, bypass, banding above and below the pouch, and an intestinal revision of both small and large intestine. My Gall bladder ( bad)and appendiix were also removed.also have a peg port in place in section of orig. stomach.(in case it is needed for emergency feeding in years to come)..and other health issues were taken care of in the female areas.total surgery time was 4 hours, and included wait time for biopsy.
