Good morning and happy Wednesday. Today is DH's actual birthday so the celebrations are done after today (thank goodness - too many goodies)!

Thank you all for the retirement congratulations! Yesterday I had an early appointment for some blood work and when they asked if I was employed it fully hit me that I wasn't!

QOTD: Though I love shopping I hate crowds so I only do online black Friday shopping. Edited to add that once we spent Thanksgiving in NYC and went to Macy's and a bunch of other stores EARLY on Black Friday - no crowds and I loved being in NYC that time of year (we also went to the Macy's parade on Thanksgiving - good for a one time thing but WAY TOO CROWDED!).

1 year, 8 months post-op (maintenance).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: ham and cheese

D: ? (Dinner out with DS and friends)

S: yogurt

Good morning menu folks! It's a sunny and cool day here but I'm not sure whether I will get out and walk at lunch today or not. It will be a busy work day and I probably shouldn't take the time. But my walks really help to clear my head and give me good time away. I do plan to do some swimming after work, so that will be good.

QOTD: Depends on what I am shopping for. I don't mind getting up early and going out before the crowds get particularly bad, but once the stores are full, I don't enjoy it. I also usually make good lists of where I want to go and what I want to look for so I can be efficient.

Menu:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, cajun fish

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake

Lunch: TJ's Herb Mustard salmon, baby carrots

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple

Dinner: BBQ chicken, broccoli slaw

Exercise: short walk, swimming

YAY! Down 1.5 lbs this morning - hope I get another day or two of this. My weight was getting scary high after my vacation. I knew it was mostly water, but still...yikes.

Accountability was great yesterday - good choices, came in slightly under my calorie allotment. The plan is to rinse & repeat today.

QOTD: I've never liked shopping. It's tolerable online, but I've never liked shopping at brick & mortar stores and I can't stand crowds, so that pretty much eliminates Black Friday. I've shopped online then, though - or on Cyber Monday.

2 years 5 months out:

B: Greek yogurt, Kashi Crunch granola

S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: cottage cheese

D: bourbon salmon, 1/4 C wild rice, salad

probably another yogurt if I can afford the calories

ex: yoga

I have gone a few times for Black friday but mostly do online deals unless it is something really good. sometimes the deals aren't that great.

Accountability: did well yesterday. I did eat a bit too much at dinner. it was chili/greens and very yummy. I also had yogurt and a fiber 1 bar (90) cal for evening snack.

Food for today:

hmmmm... veggies

protein cake prob

yogurt

lunch meat probably turkey

tuna packet

not sure on dinner though i started operation clean out the huge freezer yesterday. Two hams will be cooked between now and when we move or I can save one for christmas. maybe i don't need to cook an entire turkey for thanksgiving for 2 people! lol

Good morning :)

My meeting ran long yesterday so I have to finish cleaning up this morning. That will get me out of my office for a bit. Last night I arranged to have someone come to our house and trim puppy 1's nails. It turns out she and I played together as kids. Our parents were friends. And she did an amazing job, so that is one thing less to worry about :)

QOTD: I love shopping but I've been trying to reel it in lately. I particularly love cross-border grocery shopping because there are so many great foods we can't get here. I also love online shopping. For clothes I tend to go to a thrift store. Online is mostly for household goods.

Post-op years, eight months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - turkey pepperette

Lunch - turkey bacon sandwich

Snack - pepperoni, cheese curds

Dinner - steak, salad

Snack - protein shake if needed

All water and vits.

Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!

QOTD: I doubt this would work now, but when Black Friday first came out I wanted a computer they had on sale at Office Max but I had to work during Black Friday so I called the store, told them that and asked if they would save me one. They DID and I went in later, the shelves were bare, but they still had my computer saved back for me and I missed all the crowds! But ordinarily I don't shop Black Friday because I don't like crowds. I shop online though and will shop the Cyber Monday specials. My favorite thing to shop for are BARGAINS! I buy a LOT of things from our local Dollar auction. I recently got a really nice Old Navy goose down coat for only $1, for example! I also buy a lot of my clothes from Swap.com.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 90, Calories - 1,230, Carbs - 108.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: cheesy ranch chicken

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!

Hi Maddymoe,

It's a frozen meal made by Birdseye that has chunks of chicken in it, broccoli, corn, carrots and pasta with a cheesy ranch sauce. You just pop it in the microwave and cook it. It has 190 calories per serving.
