What's on your Sunday Menu RNY'ers?

It's cold and we've had snow on the ground all week long so I only did one walk and froze. I need a winter coat but am not at goal yet and hate the thought of spending so much money for a new one so will be hitting the thrift stores.

QOTD: I'm Canadian, so we already had our Thanksgiving in October. Mac and cheese sounds lovely, Peach; and it reminds me that there's a recipe for faux mac and cheese made with cauliflower that I've been meaning to try.

My weight has been fluctuating between 179.8-182 for 2 weeks and it's driving me mad. I'm 9 months post op.

Breakfast: 2 cups of decaf with 1/4 cup premier protein in each.

Lunch: 1 egg omelette with cheese, 2 slices bacon

Supper: Steak or chili; not sure which, lol.

Snack: Greek yogurt, blueberries, bran buds.

My whole body is aching and I feel cold down to the bone; I've been feeling like this for 2 weeks, like I'm coming down with the flu or something but don't quite have it. I did have a sore throat for a few days but it's better now. I'm writing this while bundled up in 2 huge heavy blankets.

Stay warm! I hope you're not coming down with something. I make the Mac and cheese for the kids- I won't eat it, so it's the real deal.

Good morning everyone~ Today is football - all day and we were planning to watch the morning games and eat breakfast out, but I'm not feeling up to it. Honestly, I'd rather watch my favorite movies in my pajamas today - which I just may do. Laundry, food prep and getting ready for the work week as well.

QOTD - We are going to my dad's home for his Thanksgiving meal (he is no longer well enough to go out). I was shocked to find out that we are the only ones in my family doing this.... Any-who... I was thinking of stopping at my sisters for 'dessert' (none for me) but I'm not really up to it. We will be cooking our own Thanksgiving meal on Friday. I've done this for years because I want to use my own recipes (I'm so picky) and have lots of leftovers. I make the classics - Big stuffed bird, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes and green bean casserole and pumpkin pie for the boys. I will have just passed my 1 year and I'm not sure how I will handle it. My hope is to stick to turkey, but may have a little stuffing which is my favorite Thanksgiving food.

Accountability - good

11+ month post op 170 today. Hoping to be solidly in the 160"s again for my 1 year appt on Friday.

B-coffee w/hc and SB grande latte

l-taco salad

d-leftover chicken

v/l - on track

Have a great day!

Thank you Peach for starting the menu thread today!

Today is my 5 month surgiversary, and I am (ta-da!) exactly 90 pounds down! That really makes me happy! I still of course have a long way to go - 120 pounds or so - but 90 is still a fantastic start!

QOTD: If my brother and his wife go to visit her daughters and her grandchildren, I will make Thanksgiving dinner (in very small quantities) for my nephew and myself, and let him take everything but a little turkey home with him. If they don't travel, I will probably be invited to go down there for dinner. I'm not worried about it, I'll have a little turkey and that's it, food-wise. It will be nice to enjoy the socializing.

First: Coffee with cashew milk first, followed by a Cinnamon Buns protein drink

B: 2 oz. turkey

L: 2 oz. tilapia with lemon

D: either more tilapia or 1.7 oz. ham, with 0.4 oz. cheese melted over the top

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Hi all.... I have been so absent lately during the week and on weekends but I have 5 minutes today so I decided to take a few minutes to drop in and say "HI all missed you and hope everyone is doing well...."

QOTD: My daughter and her friend are coming home for Thanksgiving weekend YIPPEE!!! My brother the competition BBQer is cooking as usual so there will be food galore. The only difference this weekend is my daughters friend does not like to shop, I know a woman who does not shop! so on Friday we are going to a bunch of Vermont tourist attractions, the Ben & Jerry's factory tour, the Vermont Teddy Bear factory tour, Champlain Chocolates and I think Otter Creek Brewing. Should be a good time....

My food for the day:

B: Coffee with premier

L: Ham

D: Steak

Well I'm off to do some more work which seems to be my major focus lately. I am really glad I have a husband who is understanding of my crazy work life lately. Next week I am traveling between all branch offices so I am all over the state of Vermont so hopefully I can check in next weekend some time....

Have good one friends....

Posting late after church today. We had a harvest meal/potluck after church today and everyone that was at church stayed. It made me so happy to see that. With our last pastor the church was very inactive and events were never attended. I love seeing enthusiasm again! It makes my soul very happy. QOTD we go to my in laws for holidays and we have the standard fare: pumpkin pie, turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green bean casserole--way too much food. Lily and I got up early and did our 4 miles and will do another mile before supper. Post op 5 years 2.5 months and weight at 118.4 today. Accountability fair yesterday I had 3 bites of peanut butter due to head hunger and finally just went to bed to stay out of the kitchen. Heres thebfood for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz roast turkey 2 bites stuffing and 1 bite mashed potatoes with gravy 1/4 c green bean casserole(not too bad for a Methodist potluck!) D 31/2 oz mushroom swiss burger 1/2 c green bean casserold S 5 oz greek yogurt with 1 T granola. Have a great day everybody and make some smart choices today!
